Are you doing anything to mark the day?

I'm going to go out in a bit and hug a tree or two.

awwwww.....I remember the FIRST one!!!!!
I remember we made posters in school, etc.!!!
heh heh heh

The kids and I all have Earth Day shirts from Disney Store. They are made with recycled water bottles, how cool is that? We already did a town clean-up last Saturday and will participate in another one this weekend.

I'm going to strip naked, frolick among the daisies, plant a few seedlings and sing a love song to Mother Earth! Happy Earth Day, everyone!:goodvibes

Ok, my dog told me (or maybe it was my conscience) that I should take this thread more seriously.
I'm sorry, OP.

For Earth Day, I don't know what I'm going to do. Hopefully I'll get some good ideas here.

I forgot to buy it a card... maybe I'll pour some water out into the dirt on my way to the car after work... what do you get a planet that has everything, after all?

The grade one's and I have all kinds of Earth Day celebrations planned. We're going to clean the school yard for gym, bring lunches and have nothing that will be thrown away (we've done this all week), keep only half the lights on (again, done this all week), and watch Jim Henson's "Song of the Cloud Forest" and "Fragle Rock: River of Life." :goodvibes

Then tonight I'm going to see Disney's Oceans.

Nothing special, just more puttering in my gardens. Usually Earth Day is a day I make a point of not driving, but the schedule won't allow that today - my daughter gets out of scouts at the same time baseball practice starts and baseball practice ends at the same time soccer practice starts. No time to go see the new Disney Nature movie either, that's gonna have to wait for the weekend.

I was planning on going to see Disney's Oceans today but woke up not feeling to hot so instead I will go tomorrow. I am sad because I bought the cutest Earth Day tee from Old Navy and am not going anywhere today to use it.

Although with being sick I will not be driving anywhere so no car exhaust fumes from me.

I'm going to see ocean. I'm super excited for it cause I'm a nerd like that. I've been teaching my preschoolers all about Earth Day this week. It's awesome to get 3 year olds excited to recycle!
