we were supposed to go on the hawaiian cruise back in 2020--we cancelled in feb when my moms health was failing--trip was cancelled before covid hit--we did have insurance through the CC
so I got ahold of the insurance com and they told me all what I needed and we went from there
DCL it easy--we got the cruise amount refunded since we cancelled before penilties hit except for the deposit which insurance paid
I know that with the airlines that I would credit for a year which was fine--the deadline came I got the papers from air canada and got a refund really quick
next came united--the year was almost up when they extended the credit for 13 months never bothered to let me know--I only found out when I asked for the paper for insurance--so the deadline was now the end of this march--only to find out on the news that some airlines extended the credit until the end of this year--that how I found out united didnt tell me this time either--
Ive tried off and on with united to see if I could get my refund--my point being I cancelled before covid hit--since I cancelled before they changed the rules I felt I should be under what the rules were when I cancelled--
I even told them that actually they could make money since we had no plans on using the credit--if they would just get me my letter for insurance after my year was up I could turn it to insurance and they would pay for it--
a few days ago I tried again and got a super rep--she was sorry to hear about my mom and said she would everything she could to get the refund--
well today it finally happened only 4 days after I talked to them I got my refund--when my Dh picked me up at work he said he was paying the visa bill and wondered why the amount was so low---
this rep restored my confidence in united--she was wonderful
thanks for listening--Im just so happy--
