Aww....thank you, Canyon girl!! That is so sweet of you! You know I almost didn't look in this thread! I was skimming down the page and was getting ready to either sign off or go to another section and I saw the Happy Birthday and thought, 'Oh, someone else has a birthday today too.' Then it clicked - 'OH! She means ME!'

Yep, the DLR birthday plans fell through (see last page of my Trip Report for that explanation), and I was bummed out about it yesterday. No Fun Card for me, darn it! But it was hot and miserable today, and I probably would have been miserable in the heat at DLR, so it may be just as well.

Now I have my eye on an October-ish and December-ish trip of some sort. I prefer Fall/Winter DLR trips over summer trips....but I did want that Fun Card! Drat!

Thank you! I did eat a nice piece of cake earlier! I didn't want a whole cake, but I got a nice big piece which was enough to fill the birthday cake void....and then when I was done with the rich frosting, I remembered why I don't normally eat that stuff - too rich, too decadent. Absolutely NO nutritional value, but delicious while it lasted!

Thank you, Linda! Yes, it was a delicious but extremely rich piece of cake, so that will be all for me with cake for a while!

Courtney is actually encouraging me to jump in on the Diva action for the trip next year. I just haven't gone on that thread and posted yet! So I very well may just do that! But I am woefully behind on meeting my DIS-friends, that's for sure!

And don't forget - if you can't do a TR when you get back from Catalina, make sure you give me the run down of the trip. I miss it there so much and need to get back soon! I bet much has changed since I was last there (and I actually just read an article recently about how all kinds of changes and additions are in the works for Avalon in the next couple of years to draw in more tourists). I can't wait to see your photos!!

I agree about the cake thing. I used to love cake when I was a kid, but every year as I get older I find it harder and harder to eat.
