so this past week was pride week in Toronto, and it's a week to celebrate the LGBTTQ community, it concluded yesterday with the pride parade.
it was honestly one of the best days of my life! i had SO much fun! and it was full of so much love and happiness
I honestly have never seen so many people celebrating and dancing and smiling and having such a great time. I can't wait for next yr!!
I felt like I was part of something really big and exciting! I was so amazing at the amount of supporters came out, over 100,000, the main street of Toronto was PACKED FULL of people. It was amazing
Here are a few pics:
(those of you who have me on facebook are privy to see the less appropriate pics (there's lots and lots of nudity at the pride parade! hahah) )
Any Canadians recognize the guy in the middle?!?!?
i LOVE those people hanging out of the window (i want to live there!)
people from the art gallery went by and painted that on my hand.
also note the beads....we wound up getting SO MANY BEADS! hahah
there were soooo many more people than that
Was it pride week anywhere else? Does your city celebrate pride week/have you ever attended any events? Have you ever been to a parade/march/event that just made you really feel like you were a part of something big?!
Share your stories!! (don't have to be just pride related, any causes!)
**this is NOT meant to be a political thread, i just wanted to share my amazing experience, homophobes & haters need not reply, pls keep rude comments to yourselves. Don't want this to turn into a political thread, just talking about celebrating love and happiness.
