Happy Anniversary, Ken!

We enjoyed breakfast at Trail's End in early June and Ken (the wonderful Ken!) was our server. I enjoyed chatting with him and told him he was often praised on the Dis. He laughed and said the Dis made him feel like a celebrity! I asked him how long he had been with Disney and he said July would be 29 years! So happy anniversary and congratulations to Ken!

We, too, have been fortunate enough to have Ken as our server at the Trail's End! He was great! Ditto on the Happy Anniversary!

We spoke to him last week at our departure breakfast. Unfortunately he wasnt our server. Ken is always fun to talk to.

Omg! Ken is the greatest! He always has a smile on and I love how he says Excellent, all of the time.

I also like Joy- we first met her back in '99 when she was working at WL. Now she's at Trail's End.

Ken was our server one morning during our April trip. I also told him he was a star on the Disboards, but he is very modest! We got a great pic with him. I would post it but I never have any luck doing that even though I follow the directions. DH can probably figure it out so I will ask him.

Anyway, Ken was great to us and DS10. Congrautlations Ken!

Every time we go to TE, I always say, "Hi celebrity Ken" He always laughs, then pauses and says, "I like the sound of that"!!!!!! I too have talked to him about his fame on the Dis. Then he just laughs. and goes on with his trademark smile.

He once told me his wife accused him of being the one who was writing the praises about himself!!!! What a sense of humor.

29 years!! Congratulations Disney for having Ken keep Disney fans happy for so long! So next July if people are getting together for the 4th, maybe you can come up with some kind of 30th anniversary celebration for Ken? (Disney will come up with some sort of tie in "It's time to remember the 30 years of red-checkered napkins and crying babies while always wearing a smile". Ken will take over Stitch's ride.

Considering there is no official celebration for Epcot this year (25 years this October), I doubt Disney is going to do anything for Ken. A couple of years ago I filled out one of those comment cards that come with the bill at TE and recommended Disney give Ken a raise. I wonder if they did?

Likely the only raise he got was when they changed the suggested tip % to 20% from 18%.
