Happy 89th Birthday to my Dad!

Yes, he is a "real life nephew of his uncle Sam - born on the 4th of July"

When I was younger I believed it when he told me all the parades and fireworks and such were just for his birthday!

We have been having rainy days for the last month but this morning it is all blue skies and sunshine so the cookout and birthday party at my house are ON!

We are very thankful to have him around for another year to celebrate his birthday.

I had a friend when I was younger that was born on July 4th. Her name was Julie Dandy. I thought that was so cool.
