Happilyeverafter2008's PJ - 29.09.2008 - WP, LSS, UK Lower

Welcome! Everything sounds so magical already! Can't wait to watch it all come to life!

Good luck!

So, our date is set - we will be getting married on 29th September 2008 at 2:30pm. Our location choices are:

Ceremony: Wedding Pavillion
Reception: The Living Seas Salon
Dessert Party: UK Lower

We have loved the WP for so long and knew it was the right decision and Paul completely fell in love with the LSS and I have to agree it is beautiful. Thanks to everyone who posted pics of the LSS all dressed up.

Our Bridal Party:

Bride: Me
Groom: Paul
MOB: Lesley
MOG: Liz
FOB: Alun
FOG: Steve
BM's: Katie (26), Katie (21), Teri (19) and Holly (17)
PB: Joshua (2)

We are very lucky and so grateful to everyone who is able to join us. We have 22 guests attending so far.

On 25th October we will also be holding a Blessing and Evening Reception at our local Church and Country Club in Cardiff for everyone who is unable to join us on our special day.

Coming Up: Our Choices So Far...

Hi You get married two day before i do

Your dress etc are all so lovely. We will have to get nervous/excited together. When do you fly out?

Your gown, jewelry...everything is GORGEOUS!! We're having a DFTW in 2009 and our schedule is just like yours! Great minds!
Is everyone great here or what?! All of everyone's suggestions and referrals are helping me out immensely. THANKS!! :thanks: Good luck with your hair trial and HAPPY EASTER too! :flower:

Congrats. Totally! I have learned so much on these boards since I joined and everyone is great although I don't thank them enough. Thanks - my hair trial never went ahead in the end but hoping (fingers crossed) to get one in soon!

Thank you all for your sweet comments.

what a beautiful dress! can i ask who it is by?

also love your engagement pics, esp pic no 58!

My dress is by Stevie's of London. It is style no. AM55. They still make it although they have a new version now which is style no. GAM55. It is basically the same although the silk netting has been replaced by silk like the overlay but the silk netting is what I fell in love with - makes it a bit different. It differs in price depending on where you purchase it. I paid £1400 (around $2691.00)

Just had a thought, im going to be in Florida on the day you get married!

My DF and i really wanted a site visit but disney wont let us book one as we will be more than 18 months in advance (only by like a month though) so we are planning to go ourselves and view the WP

I am hoping our hotel (we are staying on disney) will be able to contact the WP once we get there so they can say what day they have the least amount going on so that we can then ensure to be able to go inside the WP rather than turning up when a wedding or rehearsal is going on and getting turned away.

Fantastic - you should def. come and say 'hey'. We went just outside our year as well but still went and visited the WP. Just pop in Franck's - as long as they are not preparing it for anything you can look inside. It is beautiful.

Hi, congrats  thank you - just subscribed to your PJ. Your plans look great also. Thats why I love these boards - ladies (and gents) that understand what I am going through :grouphug: Yeah def. We fly out on the 24th September so will be over there for your wedding.

Flights

We have finally booked our flights . We will be flying out on the 24th September with Virgin. I have finally relaxed (a little) now I know who is coming with us! :grouphug: We are travelling as a group of 12.5 (classing the little one as a half coz he is only iccle!) A quarter of the people travelling with us have never been to the states before so wanted to make sure they went in comfort. Was shocked at the prices though! We have flown with Virgin before and know you get what you pay for but we had been used to going quite cheaply with Travel City! The flights were £643!

Officiant

I forgot to mention before but whilst we were over in November we booked Rev. Jack Day as our officiant. I am so glad we managed to book him for our day - looking forward to meeting with him.

Cake

OMG the cake was sooooo good whilst we were at our planning session. We have decided to go with the following flavours: top - marble and raspberry, middle - almond with bavarian cream and bottom - chocolate with white chocolate cream with raspberries folded into it! YUM! Wish I could have them all! :cloud9: However, we are still deciding on which style of cake to have.

This is the cake we have chosen for our blessing:

Wedding Rings

Our wedding rings were one of the first things we purchased. My band complements my engagement ring whilst Paul's is a plain band. Mine is below:

MyWeddingRing.jpg

Everyone thinks its a bracelet when they see this pic but it is def. a ring!!

We are currently trying to make amendments to our contract although I am having a lot of trouble with my emails - everything is bouncing back to me  . We have scheduled another call with Laura to go through floral and make the necessary floral amendments. My ideas for my floral are:

Suggestions for my bouquet:

I will be keeping the colours to hot pink, pale pink and ivory. Currently my bouquet is roses, orchids and freshias (sp?) although this will change. My main problem is that I love everything and can't decide on anything!! HELP!!

Also is anyone else addicted to the Wedding Channel? What am I going to do when the Wedding is over?!!

:lmao: :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl:   i am totally addicted to the wedding channel!!

my df thinks im insane as we are soo far away from being able to do anything for our wedding (except save the pennies) but i will admit i am obsessed by the whole thing... just want it all to happen now ya know?

thanks for the info on the dress... will check the website out... even though i cant try any thing on until a year or so from now :lmao:

I have found the wedding has taken over my life a little which is ok as i love planning things so im quite chilled :yay:

Diane (wedding planner) did say that i am one of the most relaxed brides she had but believe me i have my moments!! :scared1:

Wow that is a lot for flights. We usually go with Virgin but as there are 40 of us going so we decided to make it as cheap as possible for people. We are all staying at port orleans french quater for two weeks. We have booked through travel city (i do wish i was flying with virgin though :sad1: )

I am like you i love all flowes but lucky for me my mum is a florist so she is sorting everything for me.
My mum always says to brides that if your dress is a stunner (which yours is) then go for simple flowers so roses would be perfect as your dress is so lovely. (just thought i would pass on some florist advice :goodvibes ).

I love your cake, we are also having a party when we get home so double celebrations for us
Because my dress has quite a lot of detail my flowers are very simple (mum was right  )

Apologizes it has taken me so long to post a reply or update but I just have not been able to get to a computer....so here goes......

Had another planning session with Marion and have settled a lot now since all I need to do is choose my cake and music :guilty: Everything else apart from my floral is pretty much sorted.

I have an appointment with Laura next Wednesday to sort out my floral arrangements since we have decided to change centrepieces and colours to fit in with our current theme. I was reviewing my old contract today and cannot wait because even though it is incorrect everything sounds so beautiful. Going to keep the floral quite basic with a hint of colour and sparkle. Currently researching different centrepieces etc.... What am I going to do when this wedding is over? :confused3

I have also arranged a phone appointment with Shelley from Impressions to talk through our programs and invitations. The appointment is for tomorrow and I am super excited :yay: We have decided to make our own invitations for our blessing and evening party. I will be trying to construct centrepieces for this end also so will keep you posted! :scared:

BTW.....I love wedding post :lovestruc I managed to get hold of the Mickey Cufflinks from Arribas Bros thanks to the Mickey Cufflink thread on here. :woohoo: Just ironic that they had to come all the way from Florida to the UK to only go back home in September! Was shocked that a couple of days later I also received an invoice from Fedex charging me for taxes and duty :scared1: I then received both the BM's hair bands - managed to get them £15 cheaper on the internet so was very very happy about that. Trying to keep costs down wherever possible as it is all mounting up slowly but surely! Also received all of our swatches and I am glad to say everything goes together!! eBay is also now my best friend...we managed to get six sets of cufflinks and six cravat pins on them as below:

They came in lovely silver gift boxes which was nice. Paul also bought me my 'something blue' which I will attach to my garter when I get it:

I also went with Paul to get my wedding present. It is the bracelet to match my necklace - I now must forget I have it so I can be surprised on the day :rotfl:

More updates will follow.....I promise x

So we finally managed to pick our cake :cheer2: As we only have 22 guests we went with something quite small although it will still feed 50 people - we are gonna be eating cake for a while :woohoo: We went with the Mickey Delight (standard round 2) although ours will be silver with silver ribbon and a castle topper on top. The castle will also have silver turrets.

I will try and get a pic up soon

Watch this Space......

Hiya,

I loooove your bm dresses where abouts did you get them from?

x

Thank you.

I got them from our local bridal store. They are from the 2007 Kelsey Rose collection although you can still get them this season. They also have the same dress in the 2008 collection although I am not sure which colours they do it in now.

Hope this helps.

Hello, all your plans sound great and your dress is beautiful! I have been thinking the same thing.....what am I going to do after the wedding? I will need something to plan!

Have you figured out how to resize your pictures? I have all my pictures in photobucket and on there you can resize pictures and there are other editing tools.

I was also shocked with how much airfare is from the UK! We have some guests that might not be able to come now. Virgin was around 700 pounds and BA was even more! I am hoping for a seat sale or a miracle! :goodvibes

Hi :wave2:

Thank you. Nope not yet...did not think about resizing them in photobucket - will give it a go - it may take me a while :surfweb: It has gone up quite a bit over the last couple of years - there are cheaper options avaliable although it does not take the price down that much. Will keep my fingers crossed for you :goodvibes
