I am looking for suggestions, my wife and I are planning a 1 day visit to the Disney for her 50th Birthday with Dinner reservations at OHANA at 9:45pm. What I am looking for is an area to view the fireworks near the hub that my wife can see (she is only 4'10" and when we were there in March people kept stepping in front of her), and don't want to spend our 1 day in the park waiting in a spot for hors before the fireworks. I know about the desert parties but not going to spend the money on that when we have dinner res later.

If anyone want's to suggest a specific spot, you can reference locations on this map.

I used advice given here on the Boards and our group of 4 found a spot about 35 minutes before the start in the open viewing hub grass area, directly behind one of the fences. This worked great so no one could step in front of DD10.

How are you planning to get to Poly by 9:45 for your reservation? If HEA is at 9 (isn't it usually?) and you're in the hub, that could definitely be a challenge getting there. On 9/5 (slow day at MK) it was still a mess getting to the front of the park after HEA & had to wait for a few resort monorails. We were at the Poly monorail stop well after 9:45.

ETA: I'm not trying to be annoying and maybe you already have a plan for this, just don't want you to have an unrealistic expectation!

Is there a wheelchair viewing area for the HEA fireworks, and how long in advance should we show up to get a spot?
