We are heading out soon and I've been trying to plan the logistics of the night time shows. For HEA I plan to try to get a spot on the grassy area in front of Casey's (not sure what it's called but I've read several people recommend it). We're planning on grabbing dinner at Casey's. Is to possible to grab dinner and picnic in a grassy area while we wait? Is the line for Casey''s usually long? What time should we arrive to grab a spot here (we're a group of 7)?
Also, for Fantasmic I was thinking of grabbing a nearby quick service dinner and bring it into the theater and eat while we wait. Is this possible? I figure if we need to show up an hour early at least we can multi-task in that hour. Thoughts?

1. If there is room. (The closer to show-time, the more crowded the area will be.)
2. Yes.
3. I'll just guess a time of 60-120 minutes, but that can depend on any number of situations that night.
4. Yes. OR- there are concession stands inside the F! theater with lots of "baseball type" foods, drinks and snacks.
5. Many guests absolutely do eat in the theater while awaiting show-time.

Robo is absolutely correct. For HEA the people were staking out spots about two hours prior to show time: 6:45-7:00. This was on the week of May 27 to June 3. We got a spot on the sidewalk at the corner of Main Street and the Hub on the Plaza side right up against a trash can about 7:30. I went and got some dinner and brought it back and ate there. The crush of people was incredible and got progressively worse as it got closer to show time. The biggest problem I had is people taking pictures and video of the show using their phones with the flash on :mad::mad:. Cheers!!!!!

We were there on the 6th. We got to Caseys about 7:30 and the line was long but fast. The grassy area had a few families but it was pretty bare and my young child had plenty of room to crawl around without worrying about people. By 8:30 it was packed. We were all hoping we could stay sitting to watch it but one large group stood up so we all had to. It was a great spot to watch. My problem was the man in front of me put his child on his shoulders and then kept inching over to where I couldn't see anything.
