HAPPILY EVER AFTER AFTER RETURNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am 100% a fan of HEA. The new shows at MK and Epcot are horrible, but it has given me a chance to ride popular attractions when many people were watching the crappy shows.

I would park hop to MK pretty much every night just to watch HEA. I hope they leave the show basically intact. Cheap cover versions of Disney songs just don’t cut it. Take the penny-pinching somewhere else.

I wonder if the first fireworks show you see at MK is always the best. The rest just don't measure up!

Thus, everyone wants to turn back the clock to return to that memory, whatever show it was.

I think all the shows are great, but the more you see, the more the shows you saw a long time ago stand out as "better."

We were underwhelmed by Enchantment when we saw it on the 50th and this trip it still left us feeling relatively flat. I'm glad HEA will be returning. We didn't see that show many times, but I do recall vividly that it had a much more emotional impact. At the end of Enchantment, I remember the crowd all kind of waiting to see if there was more and then slowly coming to the realization, "that was it?" as the lights came back up.

Although it doesn't get much love, we saw HarmoniUS for the first time last week and I really liked it. Even though it relied on songs from Disney IP, those songs were used more effectively, with better flow. The arrangements were original and incorporated musical styles from around the world (e.g., Bollywood Jungle Book) which, along with the songs sung in different languages really connected the theme of music as a unifying element across cultures around the world. The songs crescendo-ed well (not just volume, but the direction and intensity of the melody) to hit the powerful moments (and especially the finale) and synched well with the pyro, lights, fountains, etc., which elicited a lot more emotion than Enchanted.

Overall, I thought the show design for HarmoniUS was much more artistic and aesthetically pleasing than Enchanted. I also appreciated the postlude that was reminiscent of the "kiss goodnight" castle lighting.

I saw Wishes several times and never liked it. HEA is my favorite, but I would even rank Enchantment far above Wishes.

I also find Harmonious to be fantastic and way better than Illuminations ever was.

Perceptions are always interesting.
I loved Wishes and thought HEA was even better. Did not care for Enchantment, thought it was a huge step back. Thought the projections down Mainstreet were more of a distraction than a benefit.
Loved Illuminations and was not impressed with Harmonious.
Clearly there are those who love and hate each program.

I see your point and maybe for some but our first firework show was Wishes. While I really liked it, I was blown away by HEA.

It just is amazing with great music and hit all the emotional points for me and my daughters too. I think the message about going out there, owning your own path, and finding your happily ever after is what I want for my kids. I guess I just love it! We still sing it to this day. I think you just love what you love.

This is so exciting. I'm 31, and so many of the properties in the show were "my" movies from childhood. Among others, Tarzan, Hercules, Mulan, and Hunchback being featured really got my nostalgia working overtime. It was the perfect show for someone around my age.

At the end of the day, the song is really the heart of the show. The tears start almost immediately lol There is a selfish part of me, though, that hopes they don't change it up too much.

My first show was Wishes. I saw it many many times, but I never got emotional when the song started playing as I did with HEA. If there was a vote as to which show we’d like to see come back, it would be HEA hands down for me.

Some parts that always get me…
When the intro play at the beginning of “Go the Distance”
“We all have th courage to fly….” And Tink comes out
And the script at the end…. “And now our journey comes to an end….”
Allll the feels ❤️ I hope some of these elements come back.

Dang your post gave me all the feels remembering the best moments of HEA and how much I loved it. Will never forget last time I saw it and after it was over looking around at everyone frozen in place with tears streaming down their faces just like my own. It was especially rough knowing it was the last time. I really really hope they don’t change the show. It was so darn perfect. I cannot wait to see it again.

I hope they fix all the annoying stuff in HEA that makes me just not able to love it. It's like it was put together by someone who'd never actually watched any of the movies.

-Use the MOVIE version of "Go The Distance". The lyrics are different and it takes me right out.
-"That's What Friends Are For" is NOT a song about friendship and shouldn't be used in a friendship segment
-"Love is an Open Door" is essentially the villain song in Frozen, not really fitting for a segment on love

All of this.

Wishes was our first - HEA is my hearts-song ❤️

Not for nothing, but I was devastated when they pulled it during a *GLOBAL PANDEMIC*.
It wasn’t possible for us to visit because my littlest two are autistic and can’t tolerate masks.
I know I am lame because people have significantly bigger problems, but it broke my heart that I would never get to see their little faces light up watching it again.

Bottom left is my 2nd littlest, plus our two oldest kids. I mean…..nothing brings me the kind of joy I get from seeing them like that ❤️

I hope they do at least a short showing (maybe a month-a quarter) of the original before launching the new one.
