Happiest Celebration.... 2 theme park ?'s

1. I read that Lucky the Dinosaur will be free roaming in Dinoland, but it said "for the first 3 months of the celebration". Does anyone know where he goes from there? DS was really hoping to see him but we won't be there until Feb. '06.


2. I saw the drawing of what the castle in DL will look like with its "royal best" decorations.... does anyone know if they are doing that at WDW castle too or just in DL??

They are doing some lovely decorative overlays on the castle at MK. It should be really pretty.

Was at MK last week.....the Castle is already being "fixed up". Some of the decorative overlays where put on the castle spires while we were there. Noticed one of them our second day there. Then the next day, as we walked down Main Street, I noticed a second spire had been spruced up overnight -- now we know what those Disney elves are doing all night.

We got our Disney trip planning DVD/CD a few weeks ago....the booklet in it is themed to the Happiest Celebration, tells all about it, and it has a picture of the Castle in MK as it will look. I recognized the spire overlays!

My DS is obsessed about meeting Lucky. There was an article featuring Lucky in TFK (Time For Kids) that DS's class read at school. I hope a fellow DISer will know more.

I would like to know about Lucky also. We will be there in January '06. My 5 year old wanted to see him really bad!

I'm curious about Lucky also - If he doesn't appear until May 5th, & he's only there for 3 monthes, we will just miss him on either end as we're going the end of April & the end of Aug...... That would kinda be a bummer....

Well the castle decorations look much more dignified than the old birthday cake castle! It will be fun to see those when we go next year.

Too bad it looks like we won't get to see Lucky. When I told my family that at dinner last night DS was bummed but DH said "well the bad news is we miss Lucky but the good news is we don't have to go to AK!"

AK has never been our fav park. Don't flame us, we've been twice, it's just that we'd rather spend more time elsewhere. We always leave it open to decide if we want to spend a half day there but last trip it got vetoed for an extra half day at MGM and the pool.
