I am kinda bored right now so i thought id make this post

i just want to know how much your kids/teens love hannah montana

DD7 loves her. I noticed she even started to talk and pick up some of her mannerisms. At least she's a good role model for girls so I don't mind it.

My kids are not into it all that much, they do watch occasionally. I had posted a bunch of questions about it on another thread but I thought of one more..........where is hannah/miley stewarts mom?

just took dd to see the hannah montana 3d concert/movie on Friday. Her mother is actually very active behind the scenes - seems to keep her grounded and they seem very close.

No i meant the character Miley on the show, where is the mom?

Her mother is dead on the show. She is played by Brooke Shields when they do dream sequences. And how sad is it that I actually know that.:sad2:

My 4 and 6 year old like her but are not obsessed. (Thank goodness!) My 6 year old prefers Avril Lavigne! :)

My 10 and 7 year old daughters like her too, we actually saw the 3D movie yesterday and I have to say it was freakin me out! I haven't seen a 3D movie in so long and boy have they changed. All the stuff coming at me was a little unnerving I must say. I don't know how I will handle all the 3D stuff in WDW when we go in May!

My 8 (almost9) year old DS loves Hannah. He's very into all the tween musicians.
I consider her a great choice as a role model when compared to most of the musicians and actors out there.
Note on mother: As with most Disney movies (Arielle, Beauty and the Beast, etc) the mother is dead. Does Disney have something against us moms?:confused3

I was wondering the same thing. :confused3

My daughter wishes Mylie Cyrus was her sister.

Truthfully, we all like her in our house. We think as far as role models go, she's a good one. She comes from a good home, and appears to be well-grounded. We took our kids to the concert and all had a blast.

My 7 year old dd loves Miley as a singer/performer. She likes it when Hannah sings but she could care less about the tv show itself. My 3 year old knows some of the songs but doesn't care of the plot of the show. The other two 7 year old girls that came to the movie with us also just like Miley as a singer. We also had the only group of girls dancing/singing in the theater (quietly in the back not disturbing anyone).

Not in Miley's case. Her biological mother died when she was just a baby (before she was two, I think), thus why her mother is dead on the show. Billy Ray married again not too long afterwards, and so Miley considers her stepmom to be her mother because she is the only mom she's ever known. The song off her latest album "I Miss You" is dedicated to her biological mother.

Can you tell I'm a fan? ;) And I'm nineteen!

According to the movie, Miley said she wrote that song for her grandfather who passed away. She does still have her mom in real life.

I am 16 years old, and I LOVE Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus! I think that she is a good role model, and is just very real!! What you see, is what you get and what you get is a fun, energetic, TEENAGE girl (just like the rest of us! hehe)

Personally, I don't think that the "revealing pictures" of her make her a bad role model like many say, because, as sad as it is, that is the norm for us teens (well, I personally won't do it but heck, I know many who do!) It just shows that she IS a teenager, she DOES get into trouble and make mistakes... and thats ok because "nobody's perfect!" and "underneath it all [shes] just like you"

Miley has a good and strong head on her shoulders, and will go far. I have no doubt that she will pull a "Britney Spears" anytime in her life, and she knows right from wrong, and has an amazing family to back her up and lead her in the right direction!! I think that this aspect is the number 1 reason for me loving Miley/Hannah so much - she might not be the greatest actor, the best dancer or the most amazing singer, but she is REAL, and true to herself and in her heart =D
