DD, who is an ardent fan of Hannah Montana was so excited to see Moises Arias, who plays Rico on the show, filming Beethoven at Universal today. My niece was more excited to see the guy from Weekend at Bernie's who was playing the dad. Edited to add: Jonathon Silverman.

Here are some pics:

:lmao:
That's what my kid's were saying. This must be Beethoven #22 or something (actually, according to IMDb, it is #6). They told me that the last couple went straight to video.

Here is the IMDb page for Beethoven, The Reel Story:

It was very interesting to watch. But also a real pain. They filmed all day around Mel's, so had that part of the park pretty much shut down. You couldn't take the shortcut over to Mummy. And you had to wait for a break in the filming to go down Hollywood Blvd.

The good thing was that they let you stand there and watch. But you basically agree to be in the picture if you happen to be in the background.

It was fun to watch how long it actually took to get one line down in a movie. The part where Jonathan Silverman comes out of Mel's was shot quite a few times and it was maybe a 60 second segment.

We must have been there at the same time. We took some shots as we were held up at that vantage point waiting for the sidewalk to re-open.

My kids are perhaps only ones not into Hannah so had no idea who the kid was in the truck as Silverman sped off after Beethoven.

Gives us a reason to rent the DVD in a few months.
