I don't have a 15 year old daughter at home. And if I did, and I found pictures like this, we'd have a chat. BUT- I was a 15 yr old girl once, and that is a weird time, especially for a famous kid, I would assume.

You aren't an adult, but you are sooo close (well, it feels like it, anyway). And you want adult priveleges, and adult love... I remember thinking I was *quite* grown up then. I was mistaken, of course, but it's all part of learning and growing up.

The first photo ... her arm is at such a funny angle. It looks lik she was taking that photo herself. The second photo, she obviously took herself. It would be my guess ... esp. w/the 2nd photo ... that she had no intentions of these photo being leaked to the public. Makes you wonder who grabbed Miley's camera and sold the photos!??!

Anyway, she's not revealing anything more than what she'd reveal in a swimsuit. Her underwear is not much shorter than a bikini bottom. Would everyone be in an "uproar" if she were posing that way in a swimsuit as opposed to underwear?!

What's the diff. in underwear and a swimsuit? She's not showing anything more than most of us have seen on most 15 yo girls at the beach.

ok, i have a 13 year old daughter at home, and they take some crazy pictures and have them online, but they arent toooooooo crazy. and yes, these were pictures meant for only her and her friends to see. shes probably very embarrased right now.

I wouldn't really call it half-naked, since if she was in a swimsuit, it would cover less.

All a matter of perspective, I guess.

The photos are suggestive, its a combination of the attire, body pose and the sultry look on her face. This is my opinion and not one that I will change my stance on. Again my only issue with these photos are that she is 15.

However, I think a majority of teen girls has a photo or two like this in her collection. We would ham it up and pose in what we (at 15) deemed sultry in our bikinis on a beach and I'd bet that most red blooded girls have. Maybe your 15 yo hasn't but I'd guess at least one of her friends has. I've seen some of my 15 yo niece's slumber party photos and they're quite similar to Miley's. Girls goofing around and pretending they're in Victoria's Secret. It's never their intent for anyone other than themselves to see these photos.

The point is that these pix were prob. not intended for public viewing.

A. In this day of photoshop, I wouldn't necesarily believe everything you see.

B. For all I know some girl out there is a look alike and thought it would be cool to do this.

And C. I wouldn't care either way, since my girls will not likely ever see those photos.

Heck I was 15 over 20 years ago and we took photos like that too. We just didn't have the internet to spread them around. Well, and we weren't famous. The point for me in her being 15 is that she didn't show very good judgement in taking them and posting them even if it were a private site. But that is exactly where the 15 part comes in. Fifteen year olds don't have very good judgement. The fact that she is famous is the only thing that makes it any different from your run of hte mill 15 year old.
