Well at least for the first round....

We wont talk about the scores at the end of the game, but I ROCK at the first round... that has to count for something right???

LOL Bear! in my defense (i finished 278K) i was still half asleep lol....i try to squeeze in a game before school, sometimes i do ok and others (like this morning) i'm pathetically slow....fireworks is definitely NOT for the half awake or someone who is on the phone! but on the bright side, it was nice playing with ya!!

Same here, I'm working on my green car quest. Can someone please PM me some level expectations for each round in a 280K game? My high score is 261K

Since 2 of you asked i thought others might be curious too, so rather than PM you both i thought i would post my scores here for what its worth

i average 285K-290K games and these are the scores i shoot for--
Level 1--47000
Level 2--98000
Level 3--152000
Level 4--218000
Level 5--unless i screw up i should be at 286K+ when done

my observations after playing over a year now is that many players do well in the first 2 levels...they start to tank a little by the 4th level...i've seen some players out there who are neck and neck with me until the beginning of level 4, then they lose ground..by the last level they are behind me by 10K...if these ppl improved that last round they would totally be up on the big board!

Thanks for posting that SIllyKid... you wouldnt happen to know the break down for each round would you.... (gee we dont ask for too much here on the DIS do we??)

I am a first round wondergirl.... then SPLAT... rofl I have even gotten as many a 7 '1000' on the first 7 fireworks in the first level... then promptly miss the next 3

Right now I am working on my End of the round flurries... trying to hit as many of the last 8-10 fireworks they shoot up at the end of the rounds...

If it werent for the KIDS!!! Or the phone or that piece of dust over in the corner under my bed that bothers me when I am playing... I know I would do so much better.... Yeah that's it.... it's the dust bunny's fault! That's my story and I am sticking to it!

Sillykid, can I ask your advice? At this point, I can score in the 260's, but I am having a problem breaking 270. In a good game, by the end of the second round of the last level, I have 240k - but I am not really able to make the most of the very last level (ie - there must be about 40k available in that last level, and I'm lucky to get 20) - any advice for how to do better in that very last level of the last round?

fireworks is definitely NOT for the half awake or someone who is on the phone!

...or someone who is trying to listen to mp3s and wants to skip to the next song.
...or someone who suddenly has an itch they can't get to without taking one hand off either the mouse or keyboard.
...or has to sneeze.
...or has an instant messaging program open and just got an IM as the game starts. (I've had this happen, too.)

oh the funny things that happen while you're just trying to play a simple (?) game of Fireworks.

LOL! thats hilarious. i dont usually do that well on the first round. it seems a little too slow for me. i normally dont do that well at all in fireworks, but i hold my own. my norm. is about 250,000. i think my best EVER was like 263,000. nice job!

i have only hit 280 4 times ... i usually average 275k a game
