Hanging Jaws in Amity??

I just suddenly realized that with Jaws and Amity closing, does this mean that the hanging Jaws will be gone for good?? This is a family tradition photo and it's so sad to think of it being gone, we have done it for almost 20 years now!

It was moved in front of the Constrution walls and we were able to take pics last week, but I am sure it will go away completely at some point

I saw another post with pictures of the walkway where Amity is walled off. They initially had Bruce behind the wall but I guess they realized what a mistake that was. He's in front of it now and available for pictures last I saw

You can still find the Delorean from Back to The Future so I'm hoping they keep Bruce around for nostalgia as well!

As of this past Sat it was still out. Everything else, is behind a wall and there was an excavator working either in the que line, the maint bldg or the lake itself.

Yeah we were there last week and heard the construction equipment back behind the walls.Can't wait for some official statement by Universal

I do hope they keep that out even with the ride gone. They can put it somewhere else if needed, but keep it out.

I imagine they will keep him around, even after the new section of the park is open.

As Pixeegrl said, the DeLorean and Time Train are still on display, albeit in a different location. I'm sure Bruce will be placed somewhere in the lagoon/Production Central area for long term display.

I've been seeing regular photo trip reports of the construction in Amity on another website and the shark is still hanging there for people to take pics,I have a feeling it will end up getting moved somewhere else eventually,at least I hope so some part of Jaws is still around,now the question is where would they move it to.I heard the carnival games in Amity will be going in front of the Simpsons which makes perfect sense but Jaws I don't know.

The DeLorean is off one of the side streets down from where the Blues Brothers perform if I'm not mistaken.

Another vote for keeping the shark. Doing away with Jaws was sad enough and it would be nice to have this reminder.

I was looking at these aerial views of the demolition, and I don't see him... maybe I'm missing him though? The photos are pretty amazing, and as a former Jaws skipper, I admit pretty sad. I spent many a day on that lagoon, sad to see it go!

First, thanks to people who took the pics, posted them, and posted the links here! It's a sad record but record nonetheless of change.

This is SO freaking depressing! One of the titans ... one of the park originals ... and my personal favorite has now been crushed by the passage of time!

To me ... this makes no sense! Universal poured a TON ... A TON of money into the whole Harry Potter thing in the Islands ... and that's fine! I'm not so close minded as not to see that the H.P. series is a phenomenon but why continue to spend untold amounts when the series is over? There are no more books, no more movies ... they should have done this while the series was still in progress not after the fact!

AND ... WHY, pray-tell, did it have to be JAWS? Why not demolish Twister or Earthquake ... sorry ... Disaster? I find both to be mediocre at best and in dire need of replacement!

Ahhh ... just my opinions! Rest in Peace JAWS! We will miss you!!!
