Hangin' at CBR?

Ok, so my son is going on the pirate cruise out of the CBR, soon. I figured I'd bring my book and chill on a lounge chair someplace. But are there any must sees or must dos for a mom hangin' at CBR solo? No pedicures, there right?

You might enjoy a stroll around the island. Plenty of places to sit and read your book.

Hammocks, beach chairs, Caribbean steel drum music piped in at Old Port Royale.... I can think of a million ways to relax in peace at CBR!!!! Wish I was there right now!

How early does the pool bar open?

Actually, I'll be doing the same thing in September, and also planned on bringing a book. It's been a couple of years since we stayed there, but IIRC there are hammocks on at least some of the beaches that would be particularly conducive to relaxing with a book. There are also several quiet seating areas on the island in the middle of the lake, I think it's called Caribbean Cay now. You might want to grab breakfast or lunch at the food court, since the kids get lunch on the trip.

If you're not totally dead from all the walking at the parks, the path around the lake is very scenic. You could also rent a bike (they have single-rider models, not just the big surrey bikes) and do the same path, or rent a sea raycer boat for a cruise around the lake.
