Handwritten note from Nordstroms.com?

Is it usual to get a handwritten note after placong an order with Nordstroms.com? I was pretty impressed considering I only spent 7.50 on some jibbitz & had free shopping. What do they do if you spend a ton of money??

It was a handwritten note saying that they hoped I am enjoying my jibbitz, had a pleasant experience shopping with them and they looked forward to serving me in the future. I only ordered 3 jibbitz (2.50 each). It was a nice enough note that I had to get over my temptation to write back to them thanking them for it!

Nordstrom has the best customer service, but I can't say I have ever received a hand written note!!!!!

I bought my DD a dress at the Nordstroms in the mall and a week later we had a written thank you note. It was so nice, and I have made a point to go back to that sales person ever since.

Yep, Jibbitz are the cute little decorations that you stink in your Crocs. I was just so impressed that they would bother to acknowledge such a tiny little order.

Unfortunately, I don't have a Nordstroms near to me to shop at, but I have received handwritten thank you notes whenever I've shopped at Gucci, even when I haven't spent much. I was so surprised the first time. I think it's really a nice personal touch. I know that if I was torn between buying something similar at another store, I'd remember those notes and possibly even the sales person's name and would probably go back to them just because I felt like they treated me as a person not just as a credit card number.

Ohh that's what their called! Well, someone we know has a relative that does marketing for Disney and I have heard that there will be Disney ones. Like Mickey and stuff, I can't wait! Okay, sorry, that was really off-topic, they just made me think of that.

I worked for Nordstrom for 7 years while putting myself through school back in th 90's. Things like that make the customers come back and increase my commission checks! It's nice to receive hand written notes and was part of our customer service.

We didn't do that for every customer but it was expected of us.

I rec'd a thank you, after purchasing my daughter's crocs. We were really suprised. Very personal, and the salesperson, even remembered my daughter's name in the note.

It was very interesting. I spent over $300 at Christmas, and never rec'd one, and then got one for a $25.00 pair of rubber shoes. Go Figure!

Anyway- great customer service.
