Several months ago I posted a thread about handicapped rooms. We were given one at BWV...and said never again. The fear of falling due to water all over the floor....and the towels used to prevent the falling....were too much. As a point we always request a non-handicapped room, and make sure it is in writing on our reservation. The handicapped rooms are a wonderful resource for the members that need them.

At WLV we were allowed to switch rooms without a charge.....I walked into the room.....and walked out never allowing the luggage in....I asked the porter to look at the room. It was a handicapped room.....but more importantly someone had spent time in the room before moving to another. There were lsuitcase tags on floor, the bed had been laid on, (the pillows in disarray, bedspread rumbled), a towel had been used in the bathroom, and the magazine, etc. were all over the table, the remote was out......not the perfect room we have always walked into. The porter told us to call and after much discussion, he even got on the phone, we were given a lovely room on the first floor. I wonder if that is part of the $25.00 charge....as they had to send maid service up to the room to redo it...before assigning it out.

HH - after one stay in the lodge and rowdy people overhead, not to mention our room was under storage area on 3rd floor.....we now request no lodge. By the way......just returned from a wonderful stay in a poolside two bedroom. When we checked in at 3pm we were offered a two bedroom that was ready.....but not poolside. We said no thank you.......went to the beach house and called back at 4pm.....our poolside room was ready.
