Hi, this summer we are renting a ECV for my aunt who has had a lengthy illness this spring. We have never seen Mickey's Jammin Jungle Parade in AK and were wondering where the handicap viewing areas were for it? Also, are any of these areas in the shade? My aunt has lost some hair due to the illness, will be wearing hats, but she is still sensitive to the sun.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!! :goodvibes

Our preferred Wheelchair accessible viewing area for the AK parade is on the pathway from Asia to Africa, toward the Asia end of the path on the side of the path closest to the Tree of Life. I have great pix from that location from November 2004, but cannot seem to locate them on my computer at the moment. I am sure there are other good viewing areas, but this was where we saw the parade. It was nice and shady for us, a family of mostly redheads ("when you're a redhead, the sun is not your friend" as I always say).

Good luck!

There is one right in front of Creature Comforts which is in the shade. On the right just over the bridge from the marketplace area.

Thanks guys! That really helps!! I really hope we can see this parade this summer!!

Thank you again so very much!! :goodvibes

Here's a link to the AP map. I'm going to try to post a picture of the map too, but it may not work because it is so big. The parade path is marked with a dotted red line and the viewing spots are marked with a wheelchair with a "P" by it in red.

pumpkinboy's spot (I think) is in Asia near where it says #13.

Talking Hands spot is to the left of where it says "Discovery Island" near the letter "C" on the map.

We used a different spot, to the right of where it says "Discovery Island" a little above the number 2. Our spot was also in the shade and was a great spot.
