Hi all been off the boards for a while and have a few ?'s. I am taking my grandson in June for his first visit with my daughter, his aunt. I will be using a wheelchair, so my ? Is, when going on the Disney busses I can manage by not being boarded while in the chair, can I just load the chair folded so as not too tie up everyone waiting to get on, also do I need to use one of my fast passes for parade and fireworks and illuminations viewing or is there still areas for handicap viewing. Appreciate any suggestions or insight.

The PP has posted a link for you to the disABILITIES forum. They have a wealth of information on the use of mobility devices at WDW.

But to give you a quick answer, yes, you can fold up your chair when boarding the bus. Just tell the driver your intention when he opens the back door. You will still want to enter thru that back door, though. Trying to go thru the front, and then turning left to head for the back is VERY difficult. Sit in one of the designated seats with the folded chair in front of you, blocking the aisle as little as possible.

Designated handicapped viewing areas are available for the parades and Illuminations, but not for Wishes. These have limited capacity and fill up fast, so arrive early. They are marked on the park maps.
