Can anyone tell me how they handle handicap people at ROTR? I really want to ride it but I use a cart. I can walk a little way but cannot stand for very long.

This is from the disABILITIES FAQs thread on the diaABILITIES Forum:

Rise of the Resistance - there are 3 portions of this attraction. Guests can use their wheelchair/ECV during the shuttle portion. After getting off the shuttle, guests using mobility devices are asked if they can stand for up to 15 minutes for the next portion of the experience. Wheelchairs can be used to the point of boarding If needed, but ECVs are left there.

on our last trip in November, we saw one person using their ECV all the way through the 'interrogation room' and into the area where guests board the individual ride vehicles for the last part of the attraction.
We've gone on Rise of the Resistance many times and never saw that before. Either guests said they could walk/stand and left the ECV in the area where it's noted in lanejudy's quote and walked or traded it for a wheelchair at that point. The attraction is wheelchair accessible to the point of boarding the last vehicle.
The person using the ECV was in our interrogation room. The ECV did make it pretty tight and the user had some difficulty getting out to go into the next area.

In September we also had an ECV in our "interrogation room" and the user rode the ECV right up to the ride vehicle.

This is accurate. They always ask my mom if she can walk (it’s also some of the few times you don’t see the first order being total baddies-they turn into respectful robotic like humans for two minutes). They are always very good about asking and when they first come in the ship they always ask the ECVs and wheelchairs to wait and then come up with a fun improv about how the rest of the party can wait (I’ve heard CMs call them droids, waiting for the leader of your planet, the whole nine yards)
