Three quick questions.............

Do you have to get your hand stamped when you park hop? Will the hand stamp wash off in the pool? Are you scr*wed if you forget to get your hand stamped?

Hi Jasper,

It is recommended that you get a hand stamp, but AFAIK it is just done in case the electronic system goes down.

It has been years since I was checked for a hand stamp when re-entering, but I always get one anyway. No, they won't wash off in the pool; they usually last for days!

Do they have the black lights back to check the hand stamps. When we were there recently, none of the parks had the black lights to check your hands when you came back in. However, they still insisted you get your hand stamped. But no park ever did, or could, check for it!

We got ours stamped every day before we left, but no one ever checked when we entered the second park. We had a lot of fun, however, checking on rides with blacklights like Peter Pan's flight and Dinosaur and seeing how many stamps showed up on our hands!

Get it stamped especially if you are using old Park Hoppers. I have seen them deny entrance to folks without stamps with those tickets. The stamps actually stay on thru showers and swimming. (I have seen remains of stamp for several days if I am in the right type of lighting.

when we went, we asked the CM on our way out if it would wash off, since we were headed back to the pools, and she told us, "Don't worry, its just a backup measure". They never checked us on the way back in either. I think the finger thing makes the hand stamp obsolete.

A CM told me once that the handstamp is to verify that YOU were in the park that morning. It's to prevent people from sharing park hoppers: You know, you go to the parks in the morning and I get to go in the afternoons. I find it hard to believe that people would actually do that.

Of course, the newer tickets will eliminate this problem. I wonder if they'll do away with the hand stamps.
