Hand sanitizer/airport security ?

Am I allowed to bring my foam hand sanitizer (in my purse) through security? It's the kind that is liquid in the bottle and pumps out into a foam. It's less than 3 oz. Last time I flew I had the lotion kind and that was okay.

As long as it is in your baggie and is less than 3 oz.

No, you can't bring it through in your purse. It has to be in the baggie that you take out and put through separately.
I accidentally kept mine in my purse once a couple of years ago and they didn't notice, and I felt awful when I realized it later. But according to the rules, it does need to be in your clear baggie.

I just took thru in a baggie one 1 oz bottle of lysol my 3 oz 3m hand sanitizer, and my saltwater nasal spray! not a problem, I just took them out and put in with my laptop

I travel frequently and I always forget to take it out of my purse, they have never caught it. I just checked my purse I used 2 weeks ago on a trip and it has a 2 oz bottle in it, big enough they should have seen it.
