Does anyone know if FW has wheelchair hand cycles available to rent? I know this is a long shot, but it might be a bit easier to get around the site if I could rent an attachable cycle for my chair, and rent a bike for my mother. Also, would this be cheaper than renting a golf cart, because those things seem pretty pricey? I've also asked this over on disABILITIES.

Thanks in advance! :thumbsup2

That's probably a specialty item you would have to bring yourself. I have only seen the one speed cruisers and the surrey bikes for rent.

Unfortunately I don't have my own (they're fairly pricey things), I was just hoping that WDW might have a couple knocking about. Oh well, it was worth a shot.

I guess the best idea would be to call the bike barn directly. Maybe they can dig one up somewhere on property for you.

Thanks! We've yet to confirm the holiday details, but if we end up staying at FW I'll give them a call, and let you all know how I got on.

Thanks again :thumbsup2 !

One thing to keep in mind is that you can only rent the bike for the day, you cannot keep them over night.

OneLittleSpark they don't carry anything like this, I wish they did but for now they don't. Have you ever priced these things, we would love to own one for our dd but they are out of sight, expensive..:scared1: and our insurance won't cover it either.

Thanks Terri. I didn't really think they would have them, but I thought it might be worth asking, just in case. I've never had a chance to use one, but I have seen the prices and had to sit in a quiet, darkened room for a few minutes to recover :rotfl:. Have you tried looking for second hand ones? I've not looked myself, but it might be worth a try.

Just had another thought, they don't rent beach wheelchairs for the FW beach do they?

Thanks :thumbsup2 !
