Hanauma Bay State Park Shuttle

First trip to Hawaii and DH and I want to hit Hanauma Bay State Park after our morning at Diamond Head. I've heard that the parking lot is small and fills up by 8am. So if we wanted to head over after 10am, what are our best options? I know per the website they offer a $25 shuttle that brings you from Waikiki to Hanauma Bay and back, it's $25 per person plus the $7.50 entrance fee, it includes snorkel rental and and you can stay at the beach for four hours. Has anyone done this? It says it will pick up at Ala Moana Hotel next to the mall. Is there a free place to park to walk to that hotel for the pick up? Is it free to park at the mall next door? Can I pay to park at that hotel, and if so what is that price? Any advice on this is greatly appreciated!!

It does fill up and close early, we were there at 8:30 and they cut the line. They restrict the number of visitors each day and are CLOSED on Tuesdays. I would email Ala Moana Hotel and ask how much it would cost to park there if that is your choice. I know it is free to park at the mall, but I am not sure where at the mall is closest to the hotel.
