Hampton Inn prices for December

I checked prices for the week of Dec 10 - 16th on Tuesday (as in a week ago tomorrow) and the hotel where we stayed last year was $89 a night. I just called to make reservations and it had jumped to $139 a night. And rooms are going FAST!!!!!!

That isn't even that popular of a week... . Anyone know if there is something going on then???

December is value season - so unless you have an aversion to the All-Stars or Pop Century - you can do better than even $89/night.

No aversion to staying at either of those (I would love to stay onsite actually) but my DH is a Hilton Honors member so our stay will be FREE.
