Hamilton Tickets

If you go to the Hamilton web site, you can sign up for emails they will send you when new batches of tickets are released. This is how I got my tickets; bought last month for a show in December! I got center mezzanine, cost $483.70 for two tickets.

I'm taking my daughter and son next month. We lucked out because a friend of mine texted me the moment she got an email that another batch of tickets was going to drop (I always seem to see those emails an hour too late). I second buying direct through ticketmaster. Yes, the fees stink. But the same friend who gave me the heads up went to see it a few months back. A couple seated next to them had tickets through stub hub and it turned out they were duplicates.

Not easy to get in NYC. And i can't say I'd pay it. The touring group will be in our area for the fall/spring upcoming season. We are season ticket holders at our theater, and get advance purchase on them. We have A TON of friends wanting us to get them seats. It will sell out within moments of going public in every city.

Only buy direct from Ticket master. Ticketmaster will show you resell and regular tickets. If you buy from anyone other the ticketmaster they are probably fake.

Mezz is fine in that theater. Side you miss a tiny bit but not a lot. Stick to front Mezz if you can but back in that theater is fine. I've sat in the last seat in the last row and had no problems seeing 90% of the shows. I took a photo from aviewfrommyseat.com to show you rear mezz side view.

Do not pay that much for rear orchestra. Rear orchestra (past row M I believ) is under the overhang so you miss anything and everything on the 2nd story of the stage. Sure you hear it but for 200+ I want to see it as well. If you have any direct questions on rows go ahead and give the row and seat and I can tell you what it is like. I've seen it 4 times on Broadway and have seen many shows in that theater over the years so am pretty familiar.

I've seen it three times in orchestra- rows N, S and U and the view of the upper level of stage is NOT blocked by overhang. A pic from row U center is attached - can see way above where the actors are!

Hmm we were in the back orchestra one time and def had a blocked view. I'll have to find what row. We couldn't aee the second story at all.

I would not sit in the orchestra. A lot of cool lighting goes on the stage floor, and I think it would be hard to see. Also, if you are further back, in that theater the top of the stage would be obstructed, and a lot goes on higher up.

I think the best seats for the show would be the front row of the lower mezzanine. Second best would be front row of the upper one. We went in 2015 and were wayyy back in the nosebleed seats because the tickets were from scalpers. It was still great. I managed to get tickets later that were from the vendor, and picked front row upper mezzanine. I didn't go (scalped my tix--just couldn't justify the lost cost once it got so famous). My kids, who don't know the value of a buck, still went, and said the seats were great. Good luck--for me, it really lived up to the hype. :-)

If Chicago is a possibility we were able to get tickets. I took my 16 year old daughter last week over spring break. We loved it. We had mezzanine seats and the view was great. Tickets were about $150 each. They were not impossible to get. I just watched often and when another few months was released jumped online and bought some. The seats on the floor were abut $500 and that was too much for us so I was happy the mezz seats were great.

We've got Row G, Seats 18, 20, and 22. I'm worried about being on the side, but these were the best we could get on release day. How do you think these will be?

These were the best you could get, so be happy. You will be in the room where it happens. I was on that side, but I was closer to the aisle. I can't remember if there were things you would miss being further down the row.

Another suggestion: Amex will often hold pre-sales for tickets before they are released to the general public. These are available to anyone with an Amex credit card. In addition, Amex has a concierge service available to the holders of the premium cards like the Amex Platinum card. Concierge is often able to secure sold out tickets to events and hard to get reservations. This is how we were able to get Hamilton tickets at face value for the San Francisco shows this summer. Hope that helps.

DH had really good luck getting us Chicago tickets for our anniversary. Good seats, and not bank-breaking! But, yeah, I've heard getting tickets pretty much anywhere else is a bear.

I think they only offered Hamilton tickets to Centurion and Platinum cardholders, not any other American express cards. I don't think they were part of the usual Preferred Seating program.

When I got in the queue for the San Francisco tix there was no verbiage regarding Centurion and Platinum members only on the website that I saw. I did wind up getting them through concierge since I wound up being number 58,000 in line. I did read after the fact that some of the presales were for Platinum and Centurion cardholders. I am wondering if they are less restrictive about which Amex cardholders have access to the pre-sales as the touring companies make their way across the country.
