Was in there a few days ago. Overheard a CM say it's closing in January for renovations. Only 19 years after it opened.

There's a Disney Store in Hamilton??? Didn't know that! Been there a few times when I was working with Disney on Ice but never noticed...

I don't get why they don't open one in Montreal... Maybe because they would have to make sure everything is written in french...

That explains why it seemed empty on Sunday, before the mall closed that is. I hope it's not closed for long.

was told that it will be closed for at least 2 months by one of the staff there, major renovation to happen!:thumbsup2

They are probably giving it the new Disney Store look. They did that to our location here in Calgary and I really like it. Except the lighting , it's pretty dim.

That is exactly why...... too expensive. I knew a former DS employee who said just that.

Confirmed with staff that the official closing date is Jan 8 and hoping to reopen beginning of April. It will be designed like the Disney Store in Square One. Don't think I'm really happy about that as I don't like the one in Square One. Guess I will just wait and see.

Bummer we are in ottawa with family in Hamilton....of course we are going in February! Oh well at least I know to save a trip to the mall now ;)

Stopped in tonight and the front half of the store was all the Twice per Year sale. Good prices and some children's costumes/dresses if you're looking.

It's about time. Love the store and all, but it's a bit of an eyesore compared to all the other newly renovated and new additions. It's probably the only store that reminds me of when we used to call it "Slimeridge". Went yesterday hoping to get some cheap vinyls for my trip next week but they only had newer ones so still full price. Hopefully the reno is quick!
