Halloweentime or Christmastime...when would you go?

My DH was talking to a co-worker and he said that they usually go in november or december. Now DH is wondering when we should go. ? for you...can you still swim at this time or is it to chilly?
I like the Halloween decorations, but I love Christmas time. I just don't want it to be so cold that you can't swim. TIA
