Okay- I'll give on our costumes since we know finally... We went CHEAP this year!

Me- probably carrying a baby in a spiderweb sling and wearing black bunny ears
Hubby- hahaha! He doesn't NEED a costume!
13 year old son- possibly a hippy
8 year old daughter- cat with leopard print pants/jacket
3 year old son- brown puppy
8 week old son- black and white puppy
Grandma- kitty cat
Poppa- He doesn't need a costume either- LOL!
20 year old sis- Little Bo Peep (with sheep on her dress)
17 year old sis- possibly Tink

I'll try to get some LGMHs and attach them to our double stroller :) I've never met DISers in DLR- only at WDW- so it might be fun to stumble into ya'll!

LOL I tell everyone... I am in phone sales and all of my customers know... ROFLMAO!

What's funny is, all the people I tell are just as excited as I am. LOL. It's like everyone has fond memories of trips, or are going on a trip themselves so when I share with them, they want to talk about it too! That's why these message boards are so popular LOL.

I just went outside and it is cold! I hope all who are going tonight will be bundled up in your costumes.

I know you will have fun anyway!

Ooooo....I never posted what I was gonna go as.
I'm gonna go as Seamboat Willie!
I already went as him 3 yrs. ago for the first Mickey's Halloween Treat but since Mickey is turning 80, it's always good going as the the one that started it all.

I hope those of you who are at MHT tonight are having an awesome night! I can't wait to see some cool pics! :yay:

my little pirate family

We had a great time, but boy was it crowded!! TSMM was posted at 25 minute wait- ugh it was really 45. Many of the trick or treat lines were long, we'd get in then get out. Dancing was fun, the parade was fun. We never even made it over to TOT/Monster's Inc area. Maybe next year!

Also- we got to DLR about 5:30-5:40 ish, and had to park on the top level of the parking structure. Our plan was to go into DL first, ride Pirates and HMH, eat, then the party. Oh my!! I've not seen the line for HMH so long in years. It was posted 45 minutes, but the line was all through and then outside and down past the entrance to French Market. So no, we didn't get to see it! DL was packed to the gills. Guess lots of people had the idea to do DL during the day and go to the party that night maybe? We didn't see a lot of kids in costume at DL, though. We did love all the costumes we saw at MTOTP!! Some families were really creative.

Here are some of our pics from 10/3 ~ We had a great time! Loved the characters, lots of interaction with all of them. There were villains walking around, being playful and posing for pictures while people were waiting in line to see other characters. We got a TON of candy and didn't even trick-or-treat much. The dancing areas were a lot of fun and so many families had really cute themed costumes. The CM's were all in a GREAT mood, which is what really sets the tone. And last, the Character Cavalcade was really cute (but a little disappointing after being lucky enough to see the Boo to You! parade at MNSSHP).

But ~ it felt like we did more waiting in line than anything else:
20-30 minute wait for a picture with the villains (did this twice trying to get the picture with Lady Tremaine & her girls)
45 minute-long line for Mickey & Minnie
What looked to be about a 20 minute line for the Peter Pan crew on Pirate Wharf (some people mentioned seeing Capt. Jack in this area, but we walked through there at least 5 times and we never saw him).
Many of the trick-or-treat lines were long, but they moved quickly - the good thing was that when you made it up to the front, they gave out HANDFULS of candy, but the bad news is that they kept running out! (This could've been because we were there on the first night, though). Also, the trick-or-treat trails lines were SUPER long. I accidentally got in the one behind Grizzly River Run and was in the line for about 5 minutes and had moved up about 10 feet. And not surprisingly, there was a 40 minute line for TSMM ~ which is an awesome ride and is worth the wait if you've never been on it before, but I was hoping the line would be around 25-30 min during the party.

We went to this party at CA the very first year, and were a little disappointed by how sparse everything was, and how dark the park was. Which is why this is our first time going back, even though we're locals. But as you can see from my pics below, everything was much more colorful and festive this time around, with some major improvements all around, but they really sold too many tickets for a limited-ticket even. I would be willing to pay $10-$15 more per person to have a slightly smaller crowd.

So that's my 2 cents (which was more like a quarter ;) ) - here are the pics!

I got a shot with the Cupcake Girls, too while we were waiting for the rope drop ~ I LOVED the blue one!!

Great photos! We were also there on 10/3 (you don't look familiar to me, though!). We got in photos with Jack Sparrow, so he was out, but maybe he went inside by the time you were looking for him. We also got Woody from Toy Story - did you get him? The Queen of Hearts we got during the daytime in DCA - she is kind of rare. You don't see her often. I was just looking at my PhotoPass pictures online and applying all the festive Halloween and TOTP borders! I can't wait to order my CD! They applied a special POTC-themed border around our Jack Sparrow pictures that says, "I met Jack Sparrow." And yes, the treat stations were generous at the beginning of the evening and then got stingy later one. Most of my chocolate was stale anyway - it wasn't fresh. The Tootsie Rolls were okay, but the Hersheys and Nestle, etc. were stale.

Nice pictures!! I didn't realize they had games too. They look like fun! What other kind of games and things were there to do?

Where was your favorite place to be?

Well, I'm off on my vacation!!!! Or I will be early in the morning.

So if nothing is updated that's why. ;)

Keep posting pics though. We love to see them. And anyone going to the party this week, have a great time!!! We'll be there the 16th!!!
