Anyone know how early you have to buy for the DVC or AP discount? We are thinking about going Monday. I know it's not available same day.... But the day before?

This is going to be a strange October for us, it is the first time in 5 years we haven't been at DL (or WDW last year) during Halloween Time and will be missing the Halloween party. I hope it is an awesome time for everyone and the new parade is a great addition. Hopefully we can make it the first week of January and catch some of the Christmas decorations which we have never seen, but it is still hard not be there for Halloween!

Tonight is the first party! I was going to head over and hang out in DCA, maybe check out some costumes.
I know it gets crowded in DCA on party nights, how bad is it?

We are heading to CA tomorrow morning!! I can't wait to hear about the party tonight!! Hopefully a few of my questions will get answered

I hope everyone going tonight has a wonderfully fun time!!! I too would like to know anything about the security checks and long dresses & capes. Our costumes have long dresses and a waist length cape and would like to know what to expect. I would also like to know if anyone has found the monkey bride in HMH yet and where I would be able to find her.

Looking at the MatterCam, it looks like the security line is FIERCE! From the camera angle, it looks to be backed up all the way down where the buses pick up. Can anyone there confirm?

Don't see too many people in costume, but the camera changes too quickly to get a good luck.

Edited: Seems like the line has gone down now. Hopefully they're getting people through quickly.

Have fun too everyone going to the party tonight. Eagerly looking forward to reading reports tomorrow. Anxiously looking forward to Oct. 5th.

Hi. This is my first post and no better spot than this great thread. Thanks to everyone for all the great information and tips. We were in the parks today (not too busy) and heading back soon for the party! We are very excited!

I happen to be visiting CA from the East Coast the last week of October. Would you recommend Monday 10/24 or Wednesday 10/26 for the party in terms of crowds? Or will they be largely the same? I was leaning toward Monday thinking a Monday school night might be less crowded...

In the Blue Bayou reserved parade viewing area right now, it's in front of carnation cafe on Main Street.

Got here at 7:45 and told not to form a line. At 7:50 a cast member started a line in the street and we got in, maybe 20 people in. Curb side! If you got here at 8pm you wouldn't get curb side seating.

However I'll say this, there were a lot of good spots on Main Street at 7:45pm. Second row.

Also at 4pm the line for security was long (not quite to the bus area) but moved quickly. I'm wearing a long dress to my shoes and no issues.

Thanks for sharing. I am so excited the BB parade viewing is on Main Street!
