We will be visiting WDW in October 2022 with our grand children. The youngest will be just 9 and we are wondering if the Halloween celebrations might be just a little too scary for him ?

Not sure about DW, but our 4 (and 3/4) year old loved the DL celebration. At DL, there’s really nothing very scary - some atmospheric effects, spiders and bats and stuff, but not anything specifically to scare people like other theme parks do around Halloween.

sounds encouraging, many thanks

Nothing (in my opinion) is even remotely scary for a 9 year old during WDW's Halloween season, unless he is very, very easily frightened. If he can handle Scooby Doo type spookiness, he'll be fine.
During parties or after hours events they will play Halloween style songs, and have lighting and fog effects in certain areas of the park.
You can check YouTube for videos of past Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party dates, or last year's Boo Bash After Hours if you're concerned. Both of those are hard ticket events that are not included in regular park admission.

Halloween is one of the most fun times at WDW - I hope you have an amazing trip with your family!!

The only thing even remotely ‘scary’ at Halloween at WDW is the party ticket price 🤣

We have been going to WDW over Halloween and F & W for more than a decade and it is our favorite time of year! Not scary, just lots of fun...he'll have a great time! Now is the time to start on costumes LOL!

Many thanks, certainly sounds like it should be ok, thanks for the advice.

New here. Never posted but I’m hoping I’m doing it right. I’m trying to get opinions on which park is the absolute best to be in on Halloween night and why. Halloween is on a Saturday and we were told Boo bash won’t be happening.
