Planning a trip for the last week in September...anyone know if the Halloween closures will be over by then... (or to put it another way, when does the Halloween period start?)

We have little bit of date flex, so best guesses or last year's experiences would be very helpful

thanks:)

Halloween season typically starts the last Friday in September.

:) The MNSSHP date are out here and at Allears.net.

Sorry: didn't realize you guys were talking about DL....oops

First day of Halloweentime last year was Sept. 25. Many are speculating/hoping for Sept. 24 opening this year. No official word yet.

Stay tuned to our "Halloween at DL" super thread for info, photos and other things. Many questions can be answered there.

IF things go according to the schedule DLR followed in 2008 & 2009 and they don't make any drastic changes, then the "official" start of Halloweentime should be Friday, September24th, the last Friday of the month. However, in 2007, it actually started on the next to last Friday of September. Not sure what will happen this year, as the World of Color debut will likely affect crowd levels a great deal and because of that, DLR may need to start Halloweentime earlier or later than normal.

The official start date simply means that all the Halloweentime-related decorations, attractions, merchandise and food will be available and in full swing by that date. The only thing that usually does not begin on the Halloweentime start date is the Trick or Treat Party. Generally, the TOTP starts exactly one week later than Halloweentime begins, on the first Friday of October. So if DLR follows that same pattern this year, the TOTP would begin on Friday, October 1st. This is the first year where DCA will have to deal with juggling World of Color and the TOTP on quite a few nights in October. I am not sure if they will run WoC exclusively for the TOTP guests, or if they will just skip WoC on TOTP nights. It should be interesting to see how they work it all out.

thanks for the info...fingers crossed for the last week in Sept then. HAlloween and WOC...lots of fun!
