we've booked to go to DLRP sunday 3rd til wednesday 6th October, i assumed it would be too early for any halloween theme or decorations- now with everyone talking about halloween its made me wonder! will the parks be decorated for Halloween by then??
Im not bothered either way as we didnt book expecting it to be, just would like to know, if it will be- do they do anything special- like they do at xmas with decorations and mickeys winter wonderland show etc??

Thank you!

Your dates are right at the start of the Halloween season - so the park will be fully decorated with the Halloween theme, you'll see the Halloween shows/parades etc - its a fabulous fun time at DLP :goodvibes

Halloween has been my fave time at dlp so far. you will be there for the start of it so you will get to see all the decorations and shows etc. jack and sally from a nightmare before christmas will be there me and my dd cant wait to meet them.

is any of it scary?? my DD who is 6 hates hates hates and is truely scared of all the badies! When we were in florida watching a parade she was happily laughing waving and watching the parade, but she spotted several floates further down maleficent- she screamed and bolted back through hundreds of people ( disney world at easter holidays= ram packed rows of people watching the parade!)

i dont know would i call it scary. cruella was there and she was scary. she pushed my mam out of her way lol. she kept screaming at gaston. oh and cinders was doing a meet and greet and she stood in front and asked the kids did any of them have dogs lol

the park is dark and people are dressed up and there are some of the villains out and about. maybe look on youtube for some videos to give you an idea.

well, there is no escaping that it is Halloween, and pumpkin men will be out and about, and the pink witches too...but it is really fun! Maybe you could search online for other peoples photos to show your DD before you go so she won't be so scared. First time we went my DD was 5. She dressed up as a witch and had great fun spotting all the pumpkin men.
It's a fab time of year. Hope you all enjoy it

I am looking to go for Halloween as well, but still deciding whether to in the 1st , 2nd or 3rd week. The price are the same for all 3 weeks. Which week in October will probably be not so busy??

i am going the first week in hopes that i will get some nice weather. i dont think it really matters as long as you avoid the weekend and half term at the end of oct

there are usually a couple of shows on. there is one on central plaza (more of a villains takeover of the current show) there is one in frontierland. of course there are the pumpkin men all over. the train gets an overlay, there is a pre parade featuring the villains and jack and sally. there is a jack and sally meet and greet. frontierland becomes halloweenland with decorations everywhere. i love the halloween music. the general atmosphere is great.

Can't wait to book soon and join the Halloween group. I am looking to stay at Santa Fe this time after tried Cheyenne March 09!
