I absolutely love Halloween and after having spent time at Disneyland and Walt Disney World during their Halloween seasons, I always wanted to experience this at Disneyland Paris. The opportunity has now presented itself and I am going to Disneyland Paris for three nights in October. I have been there for the spring festival and the Christmas season and loved the extra mini parades, special character meet and greets and other entertainment. What can I expect during the Halloween season?

Theres a harvest cavalcade three times a day (featuring Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Pluto, Chip, Dale, Clarice, Clarabelle Cow, Horace Horsecollar, Scrooge McDuck, The Three Little Pigs, Huey, Dewey, Louie, Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, Piglet and Rabbit as well as loads of fantastic dancers, pumpkin men, scarecrows etc), with an extremely catchy and fun song, really nice little parade.

There is a villains 'show' where the villains (normally a mix of Captain Hook, Dr Facilier, Jafar, Queen Of Hearts, Maleficent who doesn't meet there but round the corner in her courtyard, Old Hag, Evil Queen, Cruella De Vil, Gaston, the three Tremaines and Frollo) come on stage for about 2 minutes, perform a dance before coming down to meet guests, the villain chooses who meets them, so can be very hit or miss.

Mickey and Minnie will be meeting by the Chaparral Theatre in Halloween outfits, Daisy Duck and Stitch both in their Halloween finest will be rotating at Casey's Corner (where Rapunzel/the Bunnies/Merida/Pooh etc met for Spring and Christmas), Marie (in an orange bow) will be at the boarding house, Candy Goofy will be somewhere, Jack Skellington will be near Phantom Manor, Cheshire Cat should be meeting during the Halloween season too by the maze (which is one I'm buzzing for!)

There are so many decorations about, lots of ghosts, sound effects and a lot of atmosphere, Halloween at DLP is by far my favourite season despite never ever celebrating Halloween as a child! :)

Thanks for this. I am not sure what I am most excited about. Stitch is my favourite and I am glad that he will be there, bit I also love that Cheshire Cat may be there. The harvest cavalcade sounds like fun as well.

Halloween at Disneyland® Paris
Funny or spooky?

– From 1 October to 2 November 2016 –

For Halloween, the Disneyland Park is getting a makeover, as a strange and spooky atmosphere creeps over the Park. For just one month, guests will be amused, spooked and surprised by Disney Characters. This Halloween season, both the goodies and the baddies at Disneyland Park, will create unique experiences for guests, making them laugh and tremble.

In all their finery, Disney Villains will meticulously prepare their most spectacular tricks to tease guests. This is their chance to take the lead, providing laughs and ghostly moments. Mickey and friends will still be around, so expect pranks and chuckles from them this season!

FROM A JOYFULLY FUNNY ATMOSPHERE…

From 1 October to 2 November 2016, Disneyland Park will run on laughter and shivers.

Despite allowing the Disney Villains to plunge guests into a spooky world, Mickey and friends will be here to help making mischief at Disneyland Park. Mickey, along with his fellow adventurers, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Scrooge McDuck and many more will be celebrating the harvest at Mickey’s Halloween Celebration1. Bursting with colour and fun, the parade is the climax of the seasonal celebration, which takes a villainous turn soon enough.

Also, to make the most of the celebration, head to the Halloween Costume Corner1 to discover the costumes Daisy is showcasing for the occasion. Stitch also promises to make a few appearances to create a spectacularly mischievous Halloween for guests.

Guests can expect to meet plenty of Disney Characters for monstrously funny souvenir photos.

TO A SIMPLY CHILLING UNIVERSE…

Then it is showtime for the Disney Villains…

Maleficent, queen of the Disney Villains will take possession of Castle Courtyard, claiming it as Maleficent’s Court1. This fearsome fairy will pose beside her unnerving bramble bush: a captivating encounter for half-amused, half-frightened guests.

Maleficent’s spell will extend to Royal Castle Stagewhere the Disney Villains will challenge the most audacious guests to attend their show if they dare: It’s Good to Be Bad with the Disney Villains! 1 Because this year, the Disney Villains have planned even more surprises for guests.

Jafar (Aladdin), Cruella de Vil (101 Dalmatians), as well as Gaston (Beauty and the Beast), the Queen of Hearts (Alice in Wonderland), and Captain Hook (Peter Pan) will be there. The witch fromSnow White, Frollo (The Hunchback of Notre Dame) and even Dr Facilier (The Princess and The Frog) will also be coming to wreak havoc.

Guests looking for a bit of adventure will also love the Park attractions, which provide thrills throughout the year. The loops of Space Mountain®: Mission 2, the frightening track of Indiana JonesTM and the Temple of Peril and the delirious speeds of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith will send shivers down the spines of even the most seasoned rollercoaster fan. And for more unusual thrills, guests will be able to venture off towards The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™. This aptly named attraction will allow guests to rediscover their love of fear, as the elevator plunges them down. One thing is certain; the view is worth the detour.

AND JITTERS AMONG THE PUMPKINS…

The Halloween spirit will stretch its ghostly arms throughout Disneyland® Park, from Main Street, U.S.A.® up to Sleeping Beauty Castle. Sinister and comical, Disney’s Funky Pumpkins* will oversee this transformation, amusing and intriguing guests. Meanwhile, the smiling phantoms of the former inhabitants of Main Street, U.S.A. will invite guests to pose with them, allowing them to immortalise the moment.

The most daring guests can go to Castle Courtyard, which has been taken over by an imposing bramble. Its worrying form, resembling a strange dragon, will change colour when night falls, transporting guests to a mysterious world, where they can enjoy a spooky experience.

DISNEY’S HALLOWEEN PARTY

The most daring guests at Disneyland Park can enjoy the culmination of the season, Disney’s Halloween Party2 on 31 October 2016 until 1 am. When night falls, they will be able to continue to relish the atmosphere in the Park with fun, frights and surprises, as part of a unique and original experience at the mercy of Mickey and his friends and the tricks they have in store.

The Disney Villains will be happier than ever before, determined to provide thrills and chills.

With humour, frivolity and a healthy dose of mischief, Halloween will make guests laugh and tremble at Disneyland Paris, from 1 October to 2 November 2016.

I'm so excited about this! I'm visiting my sister in London a week before my birthday, and she just told me we are going to Disneyland for Halloween!!! Thanks for all the info!

Happy to read all this. I knew there would be some meet and greets with villains but all the activities sound exciting. Can't wait :hyper2:

I'm so excited about this!

I hear you. I have another trip to Disneyland Paris ahead of my trip to the Halloween Festival and although I am excited about both, I am a lot more excited about the October trip.

I'm visiting my sister in London a week before my birthday, and she just told me we are going to Disneyland for Halloween!!!

What a lovely thing to do for a pre-birthday celebration.

Ooh exciting. We bought annual passes when we were there 2 weeks ago and I've booked our next trip for October half term

I hope you get us much joy out of your annual passes than I have done. I bought mine in November and the next trips will be number 4 and 5.

Thank you! We have had them before but tend to leave it a few years between purchases. I felt on our recent visit that despite the closures the whole park felt more 'on point' than it has for years. Every fast food meal was fast and hot. we had the best park character interaction with chip and dale I've ever had, more what you'd expect on a DCL cruise. I'm glad you've had a great time with yours too

I had not been between April 2010 and November 2015. I agree with your assessment. I do not remember ever having enjoyed Disneyland Paris as much as I have this year.
