We just decided Tuesday to have some people over Saturday night for a little Halloween party. I have been so busy all week I still haven't found the time to get my act together on this. I am trying to think of just a few good appetizers for picking and a good alcoholic punch recipe. If anyone has any good recipe ideas they would like to share I would really appreciate it.

Thanks!

I make sangria sometimes for a party--that seems to go over well. I use a red wine recipe, which I can look up if you want. And just a mixture of hot and cold appetizers. Stuff like veggie tray, eggrolls, BBQ wings, tortilla chips with 7 layer dip, etc.

I was looking for a good sangria recipe. I used to have one a looooong time ago, but I don't remember what I did with it.

This is the sangria I always make.

1/2 cup brandy
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/3 cup frozen lemonade concentrate
1/3 cup orange juice
1 bottle dry red wine
1/2 cup triple sec
1 lemon, sliced into rounds
1 orange, sliced into rounds
1 lime, sliced into rounds
1/4 cup white sugar
8 maraschino cherries
2 cups ginger ale
In a large pitcher or bowl, mix together the brandy, lemon juice, lemonade concentrate, orange juice, red wine, triple sec, and sugar. Float slices of lemon, orange and lime, and maraschino cherries in the mixture. Refrigerate overnight for best flavor. Add ginger ale before serving.
