Does anyone know where I can find out more about this event? This is our first year going. I know we want to do this party but I have no clue about it, what will be going on, and what we will need to do.

Man, I'm bummed to hear the meet and greet after the Villain show is so nuts! DS is SO excited to meet Captain Hook and now I'm nervous he won't get to. Is there a difference in the crowds the later the shows are, i.e. the first show is the busiest and the last the least busy? I'm trying to have a plan in place so we get everything done we want to!

If you are interested, I think this event is one of the only times you can get your picture taken with all 7 Dwarfs at once.

We went a couple of years ago and this is the one thing that sticks out in my mind.

You can catch a dwarf here or there, but not all of them together.

This may have changed with the opening of the SDMT but I am not sure.

As much as I'd love to meet some villains I don't think we're going to try because I hear its crazy and I think my girls will be scared when they actually get near them. Anyway, I have heard this--if there's just one villain you'd like to meet, try to be on the side of the stage they'll exit from (there're stairs on both sides of the stage and villains split up when they come down). If you're right there when they come down, you should be in the front of the line and meet at least one.

I don't know if any are less busy. We've watched some YouTube videos and they all seem about the same--crowded.....

The one time we met Captain Hook was when we did the pirates and pals fireworks cruise. I can't remember how much it was, but we loved it! You go to the contemporary and meet hook and smee. Then they play with the kids for awhile. There are tons of snacks and drinks to enjoy also. Then you go out on a boat and watch the wishes fireworks from the water. When you get off the boat, Peter Pan is there to greet you. Don't know if that would be an option for you, but it'd be a way less stressful meet.

Attending Halloween party for the first time in Oct, and want to dress up, but need ideas. We are flying in day of the party, and I want to be comfortable at the parks to ride, etc. Also, I am 40, and want to be age appropriate, but fun.

I love Belle, especially in blue dress (feel like I am too old for that)
Love Cruella DeVil, but not crazy about a wig.

Any suggestions, links, etc. are greatly appreciated. Want to be creative...

Good morning all. We are coming down for the Tower of Terror 10 miler and see the Not So Scary Party is running on 10-3 and 10-5. We plan on being in MK on 10-5 but wasn't planning on buying party tickets. So I guess my two questions are:

1 - We don't have kids, so what is the draw for adults, is it worth it?

2 - If we decide not to buy tickets, how does that work once 7PM hits. Seems like you can hang around, but can't ride the ride, purchase anything and will be escorted out by cast members if they notice you don't have a party bracelet. Is this correct?

Well, my feeling is you're never too old to dress up for Halloween--especially at Disney where no one is going to bat an eye if you go all out! If it makes you feel any better, I'm 41 and going as Sven, DH is Olaf and our girls, Anna and Elsa. I say dress up in whatever your comfy in. Or do an" inspired by" costume. Like, if you love belle in her blue dress, do blue shorts or a skirt and a white shirt and throw a rose in your hair. Have you checked out the disneybound site? They have lots of awesome ideas for anything. There's also a thread I found on here when I searched MNSSHP costume ideas, where people share pics of what they wore. I dont have the link, but it should be easy to find.

We've never been to a party, but even if we didn't have kids, I'd still want to go. The park is lit up all different, there is a different fireworks show, and the boo to you parade is supposed to be spectacular! There are party only magic shots and party only food. If you like meeting characters, there are some you can only do there (all 7 dwarves, Sally and jack skellington, the princesses with their princes, characters in Halloween costumes). If you don't want to do M&Gs, the park is much emptier and you can ride things with little to no wait. Plus--free candy! I've read TRs from people with no kids who have gone, did fun costumes (or didn't) and had a great time.

Like I said, we've never gone, but from what I've read they are pretty strict about leaving if you don't have a band. They do a "sweep" through the park "reminding" nonparty guests the park is closing at 7 and you have to exit. I guess you could try to stay to watch the parade or whatever, but if they see you (and it seems they are on the lookout) they'll escort you out. I've read that getting guests to leave at 7 is the one time the CMs are sort of "rude" and won't make any exceptions (they WILL nicely tell you that you can buy a ticket, unless they're sold out, at the front). Really, it's only fair to the people who paid for the party for non party guests to leave. Having the park when it's not as crowded is part of the draw of going to the party in the first place.

I'm 39 and DH is 44. Our DS is 2. We are going as Jessie, Woody, and DS as Buzz. I have Buzz PJs for him and will probably roll them up if it's warm. Since DH and I are pretty warm natured, our costumes will be shorts and short sleeves with brown tennis shoes. The shirts will be similar yellow checked for DH and white with a yellow pattern I'll add for Jessie. we'll have hats. DH a bandana and vest and I'm going to make chaps that will cover my Bermuda shorts. So comfy, but still recognizable as at least inspired by the gang.

For Belle, you might go with a white tshirt, with a blue cami over it and then a matching blue skirt or shorts. Add on a white apron and you're set. I'd also probably add on the basket with a flower or two and you could use that for trick or treating candy. If you don't want to wear black flats, you could find a comfy pair of black sneakers.

I am either going to dress up as Belle or Snow White. I love Belle, but how cool would it be to be dressed like Snow, and have a picture taken with the dwarfs. I will have fun putting something together.

I have heard there is a fantastic view of fireworks from California Grill. Lookmit up on You Tube.

We always dine at Narcoosee's with a view of both the water pageant and the fireworks. Make an ADR and request a table by the window. Or, you can always step outside, as there is a walkway and pier right next to the water. They play the music in the restaurant, too!

The other option is the Poly beach, and they play the music there too.
