Halloween Party Question

Good morning. We (husband and myself) are considering attending the September 26th party. Our main interests would be the parade and fireworks. We will have five days at DL and CA to partake of rides. Zero interest in candy. This is our first and probably only trip. Is there a way to ensure having a good view of the parade and fireworks? We are not opposed to purchasing a dinner package if that would help. I did a cursory search of the Disneyland website but could not tell if such a thing were possible this year. I don't have tons of time to search, so I thought I'd ask the experts. Thank you!

No one really knows yet because Disney hasn't released details...it looks like they will be doing a dining package similar to the Paint the Night package at Blue Bayou but full details are not out yet.

There are no special seating/preferred viewing for the fireworks (or at least none that have been announced).

Keep an eye on the Halloween time thread and the Disney Blog...they will be your best source of info.

As the PP said, they haven't announced much (if any information) about any possible packages for parade/fireworks viewing (other than the tiny blurb on the MHP webpage). Last year, they did have a special dining event (Mystical Spirits) during the party that included reserved viewing of the fireworks. The official announcement was made in early September (9/8). It's not like the PtN viewing packages where you can select a meal time, this event had a set start time and used up most all of the time from the start of the party to the fireworks. It wasn't necessarily the best use of party time.

If seeing the parade and fireworks are important, I would budget enough time to find a good spot to see the fireworks (I like Main Street) and then the second parade (assuming there is one). They haven't announced the party entertainment schedule yet.

It doesn't look like blue bayou is accepting reservations past 5:00 pm on the Halloween days...so that suspicious of a package seems to be correct...at least on some days...

On nights when there is a MHP, the DL TS locations stop seating guests anywhere from 1 to 2 hours before the party starts. They've done that for the last several years. I think it's because they want to clear out the restaurant at or before the start of the party. I remember looking for a Blue Bayou a few years ago and seeing that they stopped seating around 5:00 pm on Friday MHP nights (that was the night I was looking); Carnation, Cafe Orleans, and River Belle stopped seating at 6:00 pm.

Good to know...

Seems silly though...lost revenue
