Any one starting to plan their halloween party? Let's share ideas. We had a big one a couple of years ago and will do another one this year and I'm looking to share ideas. Last time we hired a karaoke person to come in and had lots of games (bat toss, pumpkin toss, hid things in straw for the kids to scavage through, etc, and turned our garage into a haunted house. This year, I'm stumped. I don't want to repeat the same thing, but I'm not sure where to start. I've got to occupy two age groups, the first being 7 and 9 year old and then two hours later the 17 year olds.

I'm planning a fire pit and also an outdoor movie with my projector and Laptop, so both of those things will occupy both groups, I was going to hire a DJ, but I think because of the expense I will do itunes and pick and chose my own music.

Our Halloween party is back on for this year as well! I LOVE Halloween. This year our party will be on Oct. 23rd since my DD has off of school Nov. 1-2 and we booked a last minute trip to WDW! Now that's a double-whammy with a big Halloween party and one week later Disney. But I'm NOT complaining...:) We have primarily an adult party. That's because my DD5 will be there and there may be a few kids around as well because of babysitting issues. I only do adult-style games. The kids will be able to play in my DD's playroom this year. I have to start bringing up all the party supplies from the basement now.

My birthday is near Halloween, so we often had halloween themed parties. One thing I especially remember is that my mom put these "gross" things in a bag and you had to stick your hands in and feel them. She put cooked spaghetti in one and called it "intestines". There were peeled grapes in another that were supposed to be "eyeballs". I can't think of anything else right now, but maybe people can have other suggestions.

All You Magazine just had an issue with Halloween themed food. They made "blood punch" - something like red Hawaiin punch. They also had these pizzas where they cut the mozzarella cheese into ghost shapes and put them on top of the pizza. They were cute. There is so much fun food stuff you can do. Martha Stewart has some great ideas on her website.
