Halloween Party in DL vs WDW?

My cousin lives in California & I live on the east coast. I was telling her about our Halloween party in WDW. She received AP promo for the one in DL. She wanted to know if it is the same sorta thing. So, for any of you dissers that have been to both, can you please tell me what you thought? TIA

We are going to do the DL halloween party for the first time this year. We LOVED the WDW party, with the parade and the fireworks - it also helped that the hurricane and just come through and there were very few people at the event.

My hope would be that DL bring in a parade/fireworks some day but until then I am sure if will be fun!

I have been to both and they are very different. WDW;s event is more elaborate. They have a parade (one of the best I have ever attended), DCA does a cavalcade. There is a fireworks show at WDW, not so here. There is a special Halloween show in front of the castle. DCA has a dance party in front of the Sun Fountain The cost is different, too. It is more expensive to attend the WDW event I could go on and others can post more differences as well.

Now let me tell you why we go to the DCA event year after year. WDW has more to offer, but does not offer the nice neighborhood feel that DCA offers. There it is like another day at the park, here it feels like I am walking in my own neighborhood. Attendees seem a little bit nicer here and it is fun trying to going all the different candy stations. WDW candy stations don't feel unique. they are just there. At DCA, it feels more like an adventure. Like the candy station located in Redwoods Creek Challenge Trail. I love going to the waterfalls behind Grizzly Run, especially during a full moon. Even my DH (who is not a Disney fan) loves to go.We have gone every year and it gets a little bit better. Our plans are to go every year. I would like to see that parade here though.
Well there are many more reasons why I like attending DCA's event, but I'll stop for now. This thread is about what the differences, not why DCA"s TOT is better for me.
