Hi, We are having a Halloween Party for the family birthdays this month and was thinking it would be fun to do some games. Any ideas? Does anyone have a good trivia game with quotes from Halloween movies? I thought this might be fun too. Thanks:hippie:

I always like doing "Frankenstein's Monster" and the do the "Witches Smell's" games.

Since it is adults you can really do up the "Frankenstein's Monster" game.:lmao:

You make up a scary story with the body parts, then pass them around in the dark. The person has to reach inside a bag and feel the object.

You know you have a story about the building of Frankenstein and the talk about the eyes, and say here they are.:lmao:
People have to touch the eyes. (Example, peeled grapes)

It is suppose to be done in a way that they cannot see the items, only feel them.

At the end announce that they are going to guess what the items really were.
Then reveal them AFTER they guess their answers.

Witches Smell, Potions, whatever....I used film canisters and hot glued gunned them to a foam board and then put "smells" in there, like cinnamon and called it "Witch Love Potion" or oregano and called it "Witches Cat Aroma"....

People had to guess what it really was. Have fun with it.:woohoo:

:) Thanks, I never tohought of doing the story for adults. What a wonderful idea. Keep them coming.

That sounds like fun and is very creative I've never heard of that. Maybe you could add that to a drinking game (you can either grap a body part or take a shot):lmao:

I've tried to resurrect my own Halloween party thread and it died a slow and horrible death, not sure why these Halloween threads are not catching on?:confused3 Its one of my favorite holidays. We've got a great party in the works. I'm going to do a graveyard with hands coming out from the graves. Carve a bunch of pumpkins.

Have you guys seen those really cool crystal balls with the witch's head and ghools head in them that are animated and talk? For 18 bucks I thought those were a steal. They are similar to the crystal ball with head in the HM, very cool stuff. We got one of those for the party. Will probably put dry ice in the punch bowl. Have the Shining playing on the TV etc.

Oh that is funny!:rotfl2:

Here are some ideas for "body parts".

Eyes- peeled grapes
Ears- Dried Apricots
Intestines- Cooked Spaghetti
Backbone- String together penne pasta
Toes-cut up hot dogs
Teeth-candy corn
Brains-jello

etc.....great fun!

I have used this for kids parties. They love it.
:lmao:

So cool, I'm definitely writing this down, thanks,:thumbsup2

How about doctor? or spin the bottle? or spank the skank?  :woohoo:

Please behave yourself. This is a family party, You are going to get me into trouble.:confused3

Been out buying Halloween decorations and there are some COOL things out this year.

1) Bought this hanging Linda Blair from the Exorcist. She is so cool and life like, she is about 4 feet tall with her dress and has these over sized arms that extend out. $45 bucks, not a bad deal, got 10% off at Spencers because she was a store decoration.

2) Crystal Ball with monster talking head inside. This is so cool too and for $20 I thought it was a steal. It almost looks like the crystal ball in the HM, not quite that hi-tech but its awesome for 20 bucks. He talks and is sensor motion activated. His brain is exposed and his eyes and brain lights up when he talks, his head and mouth also moves. This is a great item, love it.

3) Graveyard items. Got to have a graveyard particularly if you have a long driveway entrance to your party which we do. My friends place is on about 5 acres and he has a very long driveway leading up to the party house. I got several of the tomb stones and am going to throw a few simple crosses together too. Will also put a block of dry ice behind one of the tomb stones with a light. Also am going to place one of my scary jack-o-lanterns I made on one of the tombstones. ALSO have corpse hands/arms that I'm going to put on a few of the graves like the zombies are coming out of the graves or something.

There was also this cool prop I'm going to get of a head and arm sitting on the ground like its coming out of a grave.

Also making about 3 or 4 other jack-o-lanterns to scatter around the party.

There was also this great mummy that is crunched up squating sitting down at Spencers I want to go back and get, very scary and realistic looking.

The seasonal halloween store we have here, have some hugh life size props that are great, witches, Pinhead, ghoul ghost greeter that is about 7 feet tall, really cool stuff. These props were pretty expensive though about 250 and up, so that's a little out of my budget, but anyone that had an unlimited budget could rack up on this stuff. I guess you can tell I love halloween parties.

I did a simple monster movie quotes contest at our party last year and it went over BIG! I just printed quotes from famous scary movies, cut them out and put them in a big plastic cauldron. I was the moderator. I just pulled out quotes at random from the cauldron, the person who knew it called out first and I kept score on paper. When all the quotes were read through, I added up the person with the most correct answers and gave out first, second, third and fourth prizes. Everyone said they loved it. It was a great little diversion that brought everyone together for about 45 minutes to an hour. We started the contest at 9:00. Have a happy Halloween!

A Zombie thread with a Halloween theme.......ironic??.......clever???
