I know it's way early, but we've never been to a party and we're excited!! :hyper:

So I'm wondering if the big rides are open during the party? I know the party is mostly for the parades and all, but we may want to take advantage of smaller lines for rides during the parade. Maybe.

Thanks!! :goodvibes

Yes they are. I remember Jungle Cruise, Country Bears, Tiki Room, and Hall of Presidents being closed for the party. I'm sure there were a few others too, but all of the major attractions were open!

Yes they are and with very low wait times! In October my kids rode Space several times during the party- even back to back.

It was our first party and we had a great time! The parade is not to be missed. Enjoy!!

As others have said, yes. And often with such low waits that when you pull into the station and few/no other guests are waiting, the CMs will let you stay on and ride again to your heart's content.

The only ride I recall having any significant wait (we've been to the Halloween party 4 times) is Haunted Mansion, for obvious reasons.

They're open with NO lines! We did the party the last week of Oct this year and that was the highlight of the night for our kids. For some reason the crowds that week during the day were crazy so we took advantage of the nonexistent ride lines at the party. DS finally rode Astro Orbiter w/a 5 min wait and we went on all the mountains (except Splash) repeatedly. It was fabulous!

I know everyone has said most rides are open, but specifically wondering if Splash Mountain is? It's not in evening EMHs anymore, so I want to see if it's open at the parties.
Thanks.

Was not open the last two years. The line was used to give out candy.

It looks like Splash was open last year. That's great news!! I wonder why they took it out, then put it back in? I guess I don't care...just glad it's in. I might just take a fall trip and attend the party for the first time.

I didn't see Space Mountain listed in the link. Was it open?

Space underwent a series of short refurbs last fall. If it wasn't down for refurb that day, it was open for the party that night.

I don't think it'll be open this year, though if it is a word of warning... We did it two years consecutively and both years, it was the absolute wettest we'd ever gotten on Splash. I mean like Kali River Rapids level of soaking. Our costumes, candy, and one cell phone were ruined. And everybody we spoke with said that they also got positively drenched.

We rode Splash repeatedly at MNSSHP last Sept, and we didn't get overly wet. Any more so than usually I should say. We actually rode the last ride of the night and that was fantastic....if not sort of eerie to be the only people in the entire line and on the ride. We also rode BTMRR repeatedly. At one point I got tired of riding, so I wandered down to Frontierland and sat on the steps of Pecos Bill to people watch. Yeah, I got to watch CM's...because there was no one else back there lol.
