Has anyone gone at Halloween time and Thanksgiving?? I am looking into when to book our next trip and wanted to get peoples opionon of when is a better?

Does Disney do anything special for Thanskgiving, as far as dinners. Like ability to have a turkey feast in your room with your family??

Any feedback would be appreciated..

DH & I were there for both last year. Although we didn't have the kids with us to do mickey's halloween night, we went to a grown up rest off site where DH had me serenaded to our wedding song.It didn't appear as Halloween to be anything special.

AS far as Thanksgiving goes we have gone to HH & BW.HH was very laid back and we ordered our feast from Disney. It was great! When we stayed at BW we ordered from Piggly Wiggly and almost as good.

Hey Neighbor,
I grew up in K of P, went to UM HS. Now down the road in West Chester.

Our favorite time to go is the right after Thanksgiving. The crowds aren't too bad, the HEAT is gone, and all the Christmas/Holiday decorations are up. I know some of the local grocery stores make up a 'heat up' turkey dinner, with all the trimmings. Not sure of the cost, someone will post and let you know about that. All the restaurants have a turkey dinner, but make reservations early.

We have not been down for Halloween, so I can't help with that.

I think either will be fun, good luck deciding.

Do Thanksgiving one year, buy and AP then do Halloween the next year using the same AP. That way you get to experience both.

We went early October and did MNSSHP. It was fun, and our first time doing Halloween things at WDW. We went in early December 1999 and the Christmas decorations were fabulous, as well as all the special activities going on at that time. As far as Thanksgiving, the restaurants have Turkey buffets (most of them anyway) or you could order a meal from a grocery store or get Boston Market type stuff, but I don't think there is anything else really special for Thanksgiving. At WDW, as well as the rest of our country, this beautiful holiday kind of gets run over by early Christmas preparations. Both are nice times in WDW though:)
