Halloween on the Magic 2013

Our 22 year old son has decided to join us on our cruise. This will be his first cruise. We are very excited for him.

I've been totally MIA life has gotten on top of us LOL

1. What are you most looking forward to? The whole cruise experience. Especially the Palo Brunch.
2. If you have kids what are they most looking forward to? Kids club and halloween on the ship.
3. Are you excited about the Halloween festivities? Yes just trying to pin down what we are going to dress up as. At the moment it's characters from Toy Story.
4.Are you celebrating anything while onboard? Just friendship between kate and I and the girls. It's best friends cruise LOL
5. Are you participating in FE? Yes!
6. Are you running/walking the CC 5k? We really want to but as we both want to do it we're not too sure what to do with the girls as I think 5k in that heat would end up taking a lot longer than needed if we brought them with us so for logistical reasons I'm gonna have to say no :(

We decided to go ahead and add the Tulum Ruins excursion. Is there anyone else joining us for that adventure?

\Some questions for you...
1. What are you most looking forward to? Taking my friend and her daughter on their first cruise. Aqua DUnk!!! Renovation of the ship.
2. If you have kids what are they most looking forward to? Noah loves Casatway Cay and he is hoping he is tall enough for the Pelican Plunge
3. Are you excited about the Halloween festivities? Yes! I love Halloween Disney
4.Are you celebrating anything while onboard? Yes time away from Work. LOL
5. Are you participating in FE? Signed up couple days ago.
6. Are you running/walking the CC 5k? I want to. Can I walk. LOL JK I am working out to try and do it.

My name is Jessica and My son is Noah. I have to say My son and I are Premier pass holders and we love going to Disneyland and Disneyworld. We have only been on two cruises in two years. I just started this Disney Cruise Line adventure. I am so excited. My husband works a lot but we love to travel with or without him. Hehehehe.

My husband wanted to do Jamaica and I wanted Disney Cruise so we are taking separate family vacations this year. My mom was going to go with me and my sister and her kids but they backed out. :( so it is just me and my son and at last minute my friend and her daughter are coming along with us. SHe is a DCL virgin.

We are trying to come up with an awesome group costume to wear. We have about 4 and just actually doing them is another thing.

I am most excited about the Aqua Dunk my son will be too short he is 41 inches tall and I called and I believe they are thinking 48 inches for this ride but I know that he will be too short.

I cant wait to see the remolding and the diff. I have only been on the Dream and Magic. My first was the Magic and it was an 8 day so I remember a lot about that boat more then my 5 day on the Dream.

I have an inside right now and plan to upgrade to Balcony this week. I first had the 5 person room and moved to inside for just my son and I and since my friend is going I think 4 in an inside is too little. I HAVE NEVER been in an inside anyways. LOL

I am doing the FE and have to buy a new one since my friend is not on it. Mine has Mom Dad and Noah. LOL

Anyone have anyone they recommend I paid 40.00 last time.

I cannot wait to meet all of you.

Welcome to the cruise Jessica and Noah!! We cruised for the first time back in May 2010 an this will be my 10th (my husband's 11th. We absolutely love everything Disney as well.

I purchased my FE from a fellow disboarder and it was $35

Well we decided to tell the kids last night. They have been talking a lot about Halloween when my oldest said that he and the neighbors decided to do a group costume. We mentioned we might not be home amd with questioned looks I asked if they could think of costumes that could pack. That set of a group of cheers and they started trying to guess when my youngest said we are going on mickey's ship! Which set an even louder group of cheers! So needless to say we have been talking all day about the changes. I wish I had my video camera set cause it was the cutest :) I hope everyone has a magical weekend!

All checked in and ready to cruise! Now all I need to do is remember to print the signature pages before we leave.

How is everyone getting to/from the port? We're taking a cab from the airport to the port, as we'll be returning a rental car to the airport. Then, we're using DCL transportation back to the airport after the cruise.

Final post of the day for me...

We currently have 19 staterooms (70 people total) signed up for the FE list. I will close the FE list one month prior to the cruise. If you're stateroom number area is highlighted yellow, it simply means that I don't have a stateroom number for you yet. Please fill in that information as soon as you can. I understand that some people are waiting for room numbers.

I will have a dry erase board on my stateroom door for any room changes, messages, etc. We will not be upgrading at the port, so don't worry about having to hunt me down.

Only 8 more Saturdays left for me to pack! AHHH! I better to a handle on what in the world to do for Halloween...

How is everyone? I'm getting so excited! We leave in 51 days for WDW and Universal and our cruise!

Are there any chocolate allergies? I've posted this on the Facebook group too. I just want to make sure before I start buying some of the Aussie goodies for our FE gifts.

Pretty quiet over here! We are well and looking forward to our trip. We decided to do the long day ruins tour in Cozumel (7 hours). I really enjoyed chacchoben when we were in Costa Maya that I would like to see the larger ruins they have on the mainland across from Cozumel.

If I am reading this right, and I'd like to think that I am, on 8/31 the Magic will take its last 7 night cruise before undergoing its reimagination.

Total time in dry-dock is said to be 6 weeks (the imagineers must be working 24/7 during that time). Then it sails back across the atlantic ocean.

At that point there are cruises on:

10/20 (5 night maiden re-imagined voyage)
10/25 (2 night cruise)
10/27... US!!!

I better start packing ;)

That would be correct! We're a little bummed we weren't on the first one out of dry dock, but at least this way they can work out kinks if needed before we set sail!

So Castaway Cay has anybody done the stingray adventure? Just wondering opinions on suitability for kids age 5?

We are going to the orphanage in Cozumel for the day so we are only booking one excursion on CC and the stingray adventure seems like the best option, just wondering if anybody else with young children has booked into any port adventures on CC or do you plan to just spend the day relaxing on the beach? x

I'm just wondering who out there has a 4 or 5 year old boy. My little guy is already signed up for the kids club, but I just wanted to see if there were any others out there. Maybe we could do a meet before they are thrown into the club together...we are a little shy around new people. Just a thought! Girls too....
SOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!pixiedust:

My daughter is that age and can be a little shy with new people too. She would probably enjoy meeting new friends before going to the club.

My youngest son is 4 and will be 5 in December he would love a playmate in the club/lab. Last summer on the wonder he would go to the club with his brother and sister but they would usually go do things with older kids as they are 11 and 8.

My son turned 5 this month. He's a social butterfly and I'd be happy to introduce him to your son at the meet & greet so they have a familiar face in the club/lab.

Hey Gang! For the FE participants, my wife likes to personalize our FE stuff. If you would like to, could you please PM me with your family name?
