Halloween on the High Seas

Interesting that DCL still did no communication on these cruises to those booked and it still does not show up on reservation until payed in full. (Some may recall my ranting thread)

It won't be over the top but it will be there.

Unlikely I will sail Disney again as May (Star Wars) and Sept/October are my vacation times and I do not want themed cruises.

That's odd. Mine shows Halloween on the High Seas and I'm not paid in full yet. I wonder if mine populated once the "official" announcement was made from DCL that these sailings were going to be HotHS?

I think most of them did not show until earlier this month. Nothing was tied to thier official announcement. They say emails were sent and reservations modified with the announcement but you know thier system is wacky.

Wow, I've known about it for months before PIF dates. It was all over the website, email from Disney and our TA. It's a fun theme for the cruise. We like it. it'd be nice if we could sail a different themed cruise, but Halloween is one of favorite hollidays

I've know before my PIF date but I did not know the majority of the time I booked this. Only found out a month before. Considering it still says "most itineraries departing late September through Halloween" in the advertisement but this cruise is sept 3rd sucks as I wanted to see the ship undecorated for any holiday.

So will these activities replace Pirate Night or be in addition to? I guess my pirate costume can work either way but I was looking forward to the Pirate Deck Party!

It's in addition to. On the 3 night cruise it's the same day/night.

We did a Halloween on the High Seas Cruise on the Magic in October of 2014. We received a spiral cruise booklet/docs with a Halloween Cover on it.
We have two kids and we filled our Castaway Club backpack completely full with candy. It weighed 8 lbs according to the airport scale. I thought the decorations were nice and the activities fun, but it wasn't over the top. We love Halloween though, so it wouldn't have bothered us if it was.

Needless to say my kids are very excited about our next cruise scheduled on the Wonder 10/1/17. I think it will be the first Halloween sailing on the Wonder for 2017,

So would there be separate times to wear pirate attire and separate times to wear Halloween costumes on a 3-night HOTHS cruise? Which one would be for dinner, or is it either/or? Is there a daytime party and then a nighttime party the same day/night? Trying to figure it all out and decide if it's worth having one or the other or both types of clothing packed. We have a 5 day land trip in combination with the 3 night cruise, and I tend to overpack as it is!

Well, in looking at a 3 night HOTHS Pirate night (http://disneycruiselineblog.com/wp-...s-Dream-3N-Bahamian-Day-2-Nassau-20150912.pdf) I see that the Haloween Mousequeade party is at 4:45 pm in the atrium, and Pirates show is at 7:45 pm on the pool deck and fireworks at 10:30. At least in 2015.

If you want to switch out costumes, you certainly may.
