Halloween on the High Seas 10/31/13

Welcome abroad. This cruise is going to be awesome with all the Halloween activities announced!

We have one more for our fe, one adult added to the group Mindy and Pauline. Her name is Tammy.

I was wondering what seating everyone was on early or late. Let me know, maybe we could sit together. wayne:)

We got the 2nd seating.

thank u sorcerina..... we r on main dining this time, wanted to try main, we have always been on 2nd, we always miss all the good stuff at pirate party, and since we hear they r having a halloween party also, early dining might work out... if not we will know to book 2nd for our next cruise. how r your pre-cruise plans for wdw going? With not that many people participating in the FE i think that we could keep it open until the 30th of Sept as a cut off instead of 31 August if that's ok with everyone? :dance3::flower3:

30th September is okay for me. We will be leaving home 10/19 so I got 18 days to finish.

Hello all...it will just be me and the hubby on this cruise. Anyone interested I getting together for drinks in skyline?
hi kittychatalot, when where u thinking of getting together in skyline?:goodvibes where did everyone go again? is anyone wearing a costume for our sail away party or that nite? what r going to be or is it surprise?!!!!

My 2 boys are 8 & 10, and we're all really looking forward to it!

This is my second Disney trip post-divorce, but none of us have ever cruised.

I'm thinking of running the 5k on Castaway Cay, but nervous about losing track of the kids. Thoughts?

We will be dressing up. Probably right before or after the Muster drill because we plan on riding the aqua duck before that ;) Not 100% sure what we will be yet, waiting on the stores to start selling costumes.
I'm doing the 5k too! My husband is going to stay behind with the kids. Someone on the boards said you can check them into Scuttles Cove while you run but not sure if that's accurate or not! I'm excited, it will be my first 5k!

Just got the following email from dcl:did everyone else get it ?

Thank you for choosing a Disney Cruise Line vacation. We look forward to sailing with you and want to take this opportunity to share with you some important information as you prepare to pack for your vacation. You'll want to make room for your costume, because this year we've created an all-new event, Halloween on the High Seas, and we'll be celebrating with themed offerings on your sailing.

The Disney Dream will unveil Halloween on the High Seas with new events and activities along with a costume contest for adult Guests and a special costume parade for children on the following sail dates:

September 22

September 26

October 3

October 6

October 10

October 13

October 17

October 20

October 24

October 27

October 31

Though not required, we encourage Guests of all ages to bring their costumes and join in our expanded Halloween celebration. From spellbinding stories, fun-filled family entertainment and yummy treats, we've tried to think of everything to make these voyages special. While there will be themed activities throughout the cruise, on one special evening, children will receive candy treat bags in their staterooms that they can bring along to a ship-wide party to collect even more treats. On this same evening, prizes will be awarded to our adult costume contest participants based on the following categories:

Funniest

Most Spooky

Best Group

Most Original

Most Disney

More information on themed nights, times and locations will be available onboard in the Personal Navigator that will be delivered to your stateroom.

Please remember that while all Guests are invited to wear costumes, we ask that you choose costumes that are not obstructive or offensive. To avoid any disappointment or delay in the boarding process, we ask that when considering costume options you refrain from bringing toys or props that resemble guns, knives or other related implements, as these items will not be allowed onboard.

Again, we look forward to sailing with you and hope you have a magical cruise.

Sincerely,

The Cast and Crew
Disney Cruise Line
