OK, now that it is all over with, I am curious as to the crowds at the Fort on this past Halloween Night, as compared with previous Halloween Nights at the Fort.

First, did the new parking & other security help control the off resort crowds from getting in? Did you notice any new security measures in place?

And, if you had to guess, what percentage of the crowd were from:
Off Disney property?
From other resorts?

Finally - how many people were trick or treating - ie: the number of pieces of candy you gave out, if you only gave one per individual. Any loops get hit harder than other loops?

From the photos, it looked like everyone had a good time.

Not sure but I think Larry gave out like 13 pieces individually and then ran out or something.

I was in the 2000 loop this year for Halloween and had brought a ton of candy since I was told there would be a lot of trick or treaters. I did not get rid of a quarter of it. It sounds like some of the other loops get a lot more trick or treaters than I did where I was. I have not been there other years but it was a lot of fun this year.

The Preferred and Preimium loops get more traffic. Next year the group reservation is for preimium loop.

We were in 1600 loop and while there were a lot of trick or treaters, it was not near the madhouse that it was in 2009. Of course in 2009, we were in 400 loop.

They did have internal security that controlled the golf cart driving.

The 600 loop was packed with trickers a half hour before it official time, as I was told, I was fishing behind the rig. Mrstnbob gave out all we had in an hour and a half and there were just as many still coming by for at least another hour.
As far as the new parking lot arrangement...well the new gate was broken off early in the evening so it didn't matter there was no security there. The guard shack was no better as our visitor came and told them she was there to visit guests and they said fine go ahead.

There was the security at the intersections keeping an eye in the cart traffic so that was a plus, and I think that kept things manageable the whole night.
