Halloween Horror Nights 23 Unmasking The Horror (UTH) Tour: Pic Thread!!! Completed!!

Not a house I liked as much as the others......some good scares though ::yes:: but your pictures are fantastic. I enjoyed them more than the house.....lol

Thanks for posting them :)

Universal is so clever to use the game elements so well in Resident Evil. Kudos to those who design these things.

your pictures bring back memories.

:goodvibes

That's what this thread is for. So I can look back at it when I forget stuff about this year's event. ::yes::

" Relive "The Most Terrifying Film You Will Ever Experience" as gruesome Deadites try to possess your soul.
There is nowhere to hide as every creaking floorboard and tangled vine is just waiting to pull you down, making you one with the Evil Dead...."

Well, we've finally reached the last installment, The Evil Dead House... This House was in my top 3... My good camera died down as I was exiting the Resident Evil House so I had to improvise using my "spare" lower quality flashless camera backup, plus using a led light so the pictures could come out visible.....

The House was located in the biggest soundstage... Once you entered the actual soundstage, you had to walk a bit and the entrance of the house was around a corner... You saw torn pages from the "Book of the Dead, called "Naturom Demonto", plus the inmense "Evil Dead" sign!...

The House was awesome! You run into the scene where Eric is reading a passage from the book and there is a cool effect on the cabin wall in front and to his side. Though the wall looks solid wood as the rest of the room, it is actually a screen where a projection is taking place. During the movie, as he reads the passage, the image goes back and forth from him reading the book, to Mia in the forest and trees... So you are actually seeing the forest scene going by repeatedly and quickly in the projection as in the movie).. Really cool! :cool1:.....

.......continues......

In the movie, the cellar scene was really disturbing for me, especially since I love cats.... In the House, I felt just about the same!.

The kitchen scene where Natalie cuts off her arm using an electric knife is also found in the House. The scareactor is knifing away into her arm. The neat trick is that in the sink beside her, there is a dirty plate which actually has a hole in it where water spurts out and gets you, thus giving the effect that blood is being splattered everywhere (see pics below)..

You can also find the scene where Mia is in the forrest where the vines grab her. Though I did find that effect a bit weak with the scareactor grabbing onto some ropes, the prop below really freaked me out :scared1:...

There's the shotgun and the classic scene of the possessed Mia in the floor.. Obviously the scareactor wasn't around, but at night....creeeeeeepy......

The cabin (awesome effect on the windows that made it look as if it was on fire), plus the book on the porch as well as the raven and the tipped truck!!! I also spotted a nail gun (last picture) which Natalie used in the movie. A scareactor comes at you with it during the event..

..and that was it!! I must say I enjoyed this year quite a lot! I found the event and Houses much better than in these past few years. I also got to meet some wonderful people from this forum.. I had a blast!. Additionally, I had purchased the Photo Connect Annual Package and I got quite a few awesome pics during HHN.. I should post some of those... :goodvibes

Thank you all for reading!

Cheers!

Yes, thank you. I really got a kick out of seeing this level of detail and it really makes me want to go again next year.

:thumbsup2Thanks for helping us relive the horror.

That prop that creeped you out made my skin crawl.

Can't wait for next year.

We heard about this when we went a couple weeks ago, but I had no idea the level of detail that US puts into it. For real, I thought it was just people dressed up as horror characters that spook you

I've gotta go to this next time I get down to Orlando!

Definitely do this if you get a chance. When I ask my daughter what her favorite part of our trip was "the tour" is usually the first thing she lists (of the many things that ended up being her favorite). The attention to detail in the houses is stunning, but you miss most of it when going through in the dark. The tour guides we had were also a wealth of information and we learned a lot of interesting little tidbits about the event.
