Read in a post a bit farther down about a special hayride at FW for Halloween that runs through October.... can anyone tell me about this?? Do you have to pre-book it or can I just book it when we check in on the 14th?

Here's all the info copied off Deb Wills' site: http://allearsnet.com/btp/carriage.htm

Halloween Hayrides at
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground

Retelling of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow

October 17, 18, 24, 25, 29, 30, 31 and November 1, 2003
Operational times: Dusk until 10:00pm
Rides are 20 minutes in duration

Price: $10.00 for guests ages 10 and Up; $8.00 for guests ages 3-9; children under 3 are free

Tickets

Individual tickets will be on sale each day that a Halloween Hayride is scheduled and are only valid on the day they are sold. Tickets will be available from 9:00am to 2:00pm at the Fort Wilderness Kennel for those wishing to purchase tickets early in the day. Ticket sales will then be available at the ride location across from Pioneer Hall at 3:00pm until they are sold out. Tickets are sold on a first come-first served basis with 300-350 seats available each evening.

You will be issued a receipt when they purchase tickets and a color-coded boarding pass for each guest. Persons are asked to return to the loading area across from Pioneer Hall at the time listed on their boarding pass. Failure to do so could result in the loss of their ride. The receipt and the boarding passes will be required for boarding and are valid only on the date sold.

When tickets are sold out a sign will be posted at the main parking lot bus stop and the Duty Manager, Pioneer Hall and the Front Desk will be notified.

Group tickets will be available in blocks of 30 (1 wagon) for $300 per block. Each wagon will hold a maximum of 30 guests and reservations can be made beginning 10/3 by calling 407-824-2734. Group tickets must be picked up and paid for prior to 3:00pm on the day of the ride or they will be resold. Group tickets will reserve the entire wagon for the group. If there are only 25 people, the cost is the same. No more than 30 guests will be allowed on any wagon.

Enjoy!!!! :teeth:

Ok.... the halloween ones are only 20 mins long but the regular ones (which I assume run on all the other nights) are 45 mins long for less money.... is the halloween one that good that it's worth doing or do you think the regular hay ride is just as good??
